Well I got sick of not being able to adjust my coilovers with the trim pieces in the hatch, so I ripped them out. I then got paint to match the trim, so it looked purdy.

I have to put another coat of paint on, but I think it looks good right now. :ylsuper And the camera takes pretty good pictures for $140 shipped with tax.

Nope, I probably should have though. I did it with a brush, not sprayed on. I have some spots to sand down and such before the next coat, but it looks good enough for the hatch area.

I don't think it's really that much louder than before. My next project is taking out the back seat and painting that too. Then make sure theres no stock color showing through. It cost me about $10 to do this and I think it looks good.

Very Nice, I ripped out my hatch interior becasue the hatch leaked, and the pervious owner never cleaned it up, and it smelled. Now I now a cheap way to actually make it look good!!

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm in the process of painting where the rear seats used to be and putting another coat on the whole thing. I'm thinking about making everything smooth in these areas(with bondo or something). Should I make everything smooth, or keep it the way it is??

I did the same thing to my hatch, except it looks ****tier than that becuase i had to bondo all hte holes in the spare tire well and i couldnt even out hte bondo enough. But i didnt paint it, i linex'd it, hte paint scratches off and gets on people pants (when/if people have to ride back there). Looks good thouug, better than mine, i notice hte only thing really louder, is the wheel well's are almost totally exposed and makes noise over rocks and such

Minimally...but would you prefer bondo, or paint peel?

I noticed that the paint peels if you hit it. So I might have to go back and figure out something for the floors of the area I painted. The sides are fine the way they are. I have the back seats out and I dont' really notice anymore road noise than before.

I just know my seal is shot because it's ripped and has a huge tear in the one corner. I cleaned any small rust spots out with a grinding wheel on my dremel. It made quick work of the rust spots.
