you shoulda got all that sound deadening stuff out. it looks alot cleaner with it off. just get urself some dry ice and put it on that sound deadening...it'll start cracking...easy to get off.

Are you talking where the rear seat used to be? Is there any in the hatch part?

its everywhere...look at ur hatch. you see like all the stuff that looks like adhesive?...that wasn't metal when you gutted it? that stuff you should take out...looks nicer without it in there.

cuz i'm doing the same process as you. except i've done the front carpet and stuff too. i still gotta get some dry ice from the store sometime..

Got ya.....I noticed that it had a crack in it in the hatch. I was just like wtf. Didn't know exactly what that stuff was. I'm just going to leave it for now though. Other stuff to do first.....lowering the car more, installing BRM exhaust, clay barring the car and wax job.

when you remove that sound deadening tar, thats when you get road noise. hehe. and believe me, there is allot of road noise.

my 240 is just a drift car anyway so i dont mind. but if you drive it everday, i wouldnt recommend it

Last night was the first time I drove my car at night since I did this. Well when you step on the brakes, holy spotlight from the back. The entire back of the car lights up. And When you remove this stuff, you will hear a lot more road noise. If you pick up a small rock and it hits the fender, you'll definately hear it very loudly.

i was riding in my friends who gutted his hatch and had misc items in the trunk. stupid battery in the back kept rattling amoung other things. it was kinda scary... "WTF WAS THAT ?!" sounded like something was gonna break

pliers and screw drivers. theres some plastic screws or whatever too. and then pliers and screw drivers are for the metal rings that are holding parts of it.

yeah its not hard gutting the hatch, its just making look and sound good thats the harder part only 3 weeks till i have surgery

yea...getting the sound deadening and then the clean up afterwards that's takes awhile. I've already taken the tar out...so now i gotta get some Goo Gone and clean up everything real nice. then maybe paint...

man ok i have the backseat out and everything else most panels too. little rocks sound like sledgehammers god its awful!!!! and i turn up the radio, but the only two speakers i have are my blown 4x6 in the front had to take everything else out. i have a leak and i just took out about a gallon of water from back there rust eveywhere!!! will have pix up by monday! grrr so pissed, cuz its been raining everyday!
