Hey xxxxxx,

We’ve looked into the Altimas and the software on the ECU appears to be close enough to the Z/G software that we should not have any problem tuning them.

The real problem is local interest. The only reason that we’ve been able to offer tunes for the Z/G/Titans is that we’ve tuned dozens of them at our facility in Austin , so we have a good library of base tunes for typical setups. If you could get a few people together w/ the typical mods that your group is running and get to them to Austin for some custom tuning then we could use their tunes as the base maps and send the tunes out to the rest of the group.

I live about 2 1/2-3hrs away. I would just need to find out how long the process would take especially since I have a 3.5 CVT.

am i reading this right, someone is FINALLY willing to tune a CVT???? CVT is far from Z/G/Titan stuff (since none of them have CVT) but if they're willing to tune it, no complaints here lol will they be able to take out all the restrictions from CVT? like how it doesn't allow full throttle at 90 MPH and at 130 a base civic could whoop it.... i heard that at certain speeds and RPMs the altimas prior to 2007 would only allow 80% throttle no matter how hard you floor the gas pedal and isnt CVT supposed to be more restrictive? i'm very curious about what they'd do for us 3.5se CVT owners.

I'd be up for it but I think a 7 hour trip is a bit much. Anyone find out how long they'll need the car for?

If everyone here got together and treated me to the exhaust, I'd consider a short roadtrip

Just got a reply:

It's alittle tricky because it's going to take 2 trips. The first thing that we have to do is get the software off of your ECU. After that it will take us ~2-3 weeks to reverse engineer the code and get it added to our toolset. Then we'll be ready to strap you car to the dyno and tune it. I'll cap the tuning at $650 even though it will probably take all day since it's a new platform for us.

Dumping only takes about 15min to an hour, so just let me know when you want to come down to Austin and we can start the proccess.

I agree. They want you to take the time to drive to them twice so they can develop a product to sell and then turn around and charge you $650?
