Good question, and the answer is... I have no idea! These are my running lights, not turn signals, so I would think that they will burn out faster than they would if they were my turn signals. The turn signals I enetually use will not be these led strips, but will be flush mounted individually wired LED's like the ones grystrm did on his whip!ursus wrote:Interesting idea, looks awesome, cant wait for some night pictures.
do u think by makin them your turn signal it's going to decrease the life of the bulbs? how long do you think they'll last?
yeah, Matte black isn't a look for everyone, most go for the more Glossy look... and that's exactly why I'm going for the opposite! but on Dangeris' whip, they would just look ridiculous..(in a good way)spockrock wrote:not digging the matte overlay, the running lights are nice and clean. I like front stillen splitter but not digging the buckles, I know you can use it without it.
I have NEVER seen a color matched splitter.. color matched lips, yes, but slpitters are usually black or carbon fiber to purposefully contrast the vehicle. NOt to say it hasn't been done or that it couldn't be done and look good, it's just not the norm!spockrock wrote: I wonder how the splitter looks if it were colour matched
you'd have to email him and get that info... after shouting him out in the magazine my car was in and helping him advertise his products, my price is a little different, so the answer is i don't know!dangeris wrote:Looks great Doc! Love the splitter and loving the Matte Black headlight overlay. Did you put them on or did you get Andy to do it? What's the cost of the overlays anyway?
FGFCacoupe wrote:Quick question, will the matte black headlight overlays look bad or out of place with the regular material tailight gtr overlays that bluebat has because of the different materials.
these guys here...windhaven wrote:Robert,
What was the specific part that you purchased from Ozonium? Size, Spacing, etc. I like it enough to do it the same.

nope, I knew I wasn't gonna do my running lights that way, so there was no need to measure!domdada wrote:I'm liking the overlays on the headlights....I don't know if you saw my post from a week or so ago.....I'm thinking of painting the headlamp to match the car but if I don't that, I might just do the overlays.
One question though. Seeing that you have the stock bumper still, did you measure to see if there is a 1/4" gap between the front bumper and headlight?
i was thinking the same thing.rjdmmfl1 wrote:
Also, I feel you on matching the headlights with the color of the car..... what I was thinking of doing was getting the fiberglass eyelids like LBC has and painting them the color of the car, and then overlaying those on top of my matte black overlays
i knew we'd get one of these.... the point of the overlays is to get rid of the amber color cpmpletely... whether the light is wired on or off al the time, the amber still shows... hence the overlaysfullvietFX wrote:I'll be honest, that looks horrible. Isn't there a way to wire the lights so the ambers aren't on all the time?
sorry Ursus, Im not quite sure what you mena by tap clips... these leds were apparently originally meant for home use, so they come with an attachment for an Alternaing current 12 volt adapter... I spoke with the guys at oznium and they suggested that i just cut off the attachment, strip the wires, and hook it up to a 12 volt supply... I hope this answers your question...ursus wrote:Just ordered mine. Question doc, are these LEDs easy to tap? as in, can i just use a those tap clips on the + end, and just ground it?
2ndly what do you guys think in terms of mounting it on a sedan? we dont have the 1' of fog housing like you guys, I was thinking...
I don't think you'll regret it ! It looks better than this in person! For $40, this is a nice little subtle mod that'll make your whip stand out!Jose3.5 wrote:I'm really liking this and I'm really thinking of doing it now.
not as good as with them of IMO!phobs wrote:very nice, how do they look with the fogs on too?
