GT4

PSP is OUT in Japan right now, it came out on Sunday (12/12/04).

I was originally thinking of pre-ordering, but I don't want a Japanese unit until I'm absolutely certain of the specifics of the region compatibility.

As for GT4, the Japanese release date is sometime in Dec, I think. I have a JP PS2, so if I end up importing the biatch, I'll give ya'll my impressions. My GT4 Logitech steering wheel is in the mail:-D

Well I was going to ask for it for Christmas now I'll just have to ask for it for my birthday. I started reserving it in October of last year thinking it was going to come out in April. Well April came around and the EB I reserved it at said that I could only pick it up at that store and they had pushed the date back to October( I knew I was going to move in August) so since I was a poor college kid I took the money back out. Now I am glad that I did. But anyways like everyone else has said the wait will be worth it. Anyone heard if they are going to add online play back on?

Theres no need for reserving...when games are hyped like gT, retailers stock up on them so they don't miss any sales.

Hopefully this will shed some light on the subject. I stopped into a video game store on my way home from work because I saw a windo banner that said GT4 December 4th. I ran in expecting to find out that it was released here in Japan without anyone knowing...only to find out, it has been pushed back here again. Current release date in Japan is DEC28th.

HashiriyaGDB I will keep my eyes open, if it comes out, I can pick it up for you at cost and ship it to you. Hows that sound?

I will try to keep you all updated and let you know what I find out as the date gets closer. When it comes out here, it shouldn't be to far after that you all get it.

wow, this is one of the longest game delays ive known. i used to work at best buy from oct '03 until feb '04. i checked every day to see if the release date changed. it was supposed to come out in like feb of '04 origonally but its been delayed a year? sony really is screwin up.

One year, two months, and...one week late--after five years already. And worth every single second.

THAT's why I'd rather wait. The delay only did good things for that game. Allowed for use of new technologies, gave more time to perfect things and get bugs out. If that's what's keeping GT4, I'm GLAD it's been delayed.
