Doods...does anyone know if gt4 is going to be released tommorow, if not when(I've heard Feb 05 ). If not I'm officially going to have blue balls .lol

Yeah..i am waiting for it here in japan too...but sony is going to release the PSP, or playstation portable, soon...might be out now...not sure...i want one of those.

when i pre ordered GT4 it said it was suppose to come out november 24th, obviously that didn't happen

Yeah I was at Babbages today buying NFS Hot Pursuit 2 for my little brother for X-mas and asked the sales guy, he said it was pushed back to Feb too. It's ridiculous. Oh well, it'll be worth it once it comes out.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

I'd much rather wait months or years for a game to be released finished and done than to get a buggy unfinished game on the original release date.

I could name examples, but I don't want to start a gaming flame war, so I won't use names.

There have been perfect examples of each of these scenarios recently. One of them was rushed to meet a date and is just about the buggiest game I've ever played, and it sucks. They even chopped off the ending! This was an average game with nothing out of the ordinary.

But another one is more than a year late and it was worth it. Few bugs, and most of those due to the complexities of emulating real world physics. This one is a truly outstanding game.

I want GT4 to be good. I'll wait 2 more years if that's what it takes to make the game work right.

and yea i agree with MinisterofDOOM, i'd much rather wait a few months and make sure that the game is free of bugs, and i'm sure that the wait will pay off in Feb. if not later. I just wish i had more free time to play it when it comes out

PSP is OUT in Japan right now, it came out on Sunday (12/12/04).

I was originally thinking of pre-ordering, but I don't want a Japanese unit until I'm absolutely certain of the specifics of the region compatibility.

As for GT4, the Japanese release date is sometime in Dec, I think. I have a JP PS2, so if I end up importing the biatch, I'll give ya'll my impressions. My GT4 Logitech steering wheel is in the mail:-D

I was goign to go pick it up this weekend. WTF wasn't the original release date back in October? Since then it has changed 4 times. I can deal with one delay and thne maybe 1 week after that but how long are they going to be putting it off. I'm tired of everytime it gets clsoe thye suspend it even more. back in october they should of just said delayed till feb. Didn't it take socom like 9 months after it was suppose to be released?

IGN says Feb 16th now.

The first original date I had heard was June '04, this is getting rediculous. Although I read that in GT3 it took a programmer 1 day to write the video details for 1 car. Now in GT4 that same 1 programmer with the same 1 car would take 1 month to write. That is a lot of details into the cars.

Still looking forward to it, but they are killing me with the push backs.

i bet they have to go back to a multi disc format like they had to with 2 because of the detail, that seems like an awful lot to pack on one disc, even if it is a dvd.

LOL I wouldnt be surprised. At the rate their going and the fact that they keep pushing the release date back it could be as late as April. Well hopefully it will be out in Feb like their saying

wow, this is one of the longest game delays ive known. i used to work at best buy from oct '03 until feb '04. i checked every day to see if the release date changed. it was supposed to come out in like feb of '04 origonally but its been delayed a year? sony really is screwin up.

Someone should let Microsoft know what you just said. Efin Windows 95,98/SE, ME,2000, XP, 2003 Server. They all had/have crap loads of bugs. Why not just get it right the first time .

Anyway, GT4 is worth the wait. I am only to like 65% on GT3 yet . I can't get then dam Super liscence. Does anyone know if there is a website where I could download a saved game and then transfer it to my PS2 memory card?

I'm basically having trouble with all of them .

It's probably because I use the technic of driving as fast as possible an sliding on the walls around corners

I was 97% done with gt3 untill I had an mistake in trading cars, so I lost all my info and had to start over...buts it's cool because now I have the rare cars I sold. I've seen ONE 3 sec. commercial for GT4 that said coming soon...for now on I'm not going to worry about dates and just wait patiently:[
