Ok, here's the dealio: I finally got my copy of GT3 back from my stupid little cousin, so I can now go about whipping the likes of all Nico at GT3.

So, what's going on? I'm posting a challenge for jdmfreak03, but all should feel free to give it a try. After a certain amount of time, jdmfreak03 will then announce his challenge. And so on. Others can feel free to set a challenge, too. Remember to include car, track, mods on car, tires, etc...

First ChallengeTrack: Deep Forest IICar: Acura NSX (not Honda)Mods: Full N/A tune (485+ HP)Settings: Unrestricted (whatever suspension, brake, transmission etc. settings)Tires: Simulation

Post your times! We'll see which Niconian is truly the master of GT3...

Just an Acura one, sounds like... I think I already have one, I'll give it a shot tomorrow afternoon. Deep Forest II... ouch... but yeah, I'll give it a run too... I tried to do something similar to this nearly a year ago and it never caught on... oh well...

Exactly. They must use Ninjathetic (the alternative to Synthetic)...

But use the one that reaches around 485hp.

Gearing. Get the top spec transmission and change it around, it changes the power numbers too.

Just keep racing, once you have a couple cars you can use regularly it's easy, particularly in the higher leagues. I've had as much as $6mil (in GT2), I usually hover around $1mil cause I'm always making cars for kicks...

If you're still in the Beginner's League, just play the Granturismo World Championship a bunch of times. $100k for all first place, then $50k for winning. More than enough to buy a fully-modded NSX... ;)

I've got something like 20 cars, i'm one step up from beginner.. i just got so discouraged at how a few 100 hours yields so little progress! Awesome game tho,

S Lic is such a BIA! One or two of the tests took me so long to do, I'd give up for a few weeks then try again... finally got it though... not all that useful. I'm only 76% or so done... but yeah, I always get all the licenses ASAP cause it's good experience.

Yea that is a PIA. Especially the one with the Toyota race car.

Oh and I dont know what's wrong with your cars, but my NSX Type R has 496 w/o oil change and my Type S Zero has 508 w/o oil change. Im gonna use the Honda NSX Type S Zero.

Well, that's probably because you're using the Honda NSX, and we're using Acura NSX's. I also get 496 w/o oil change on the Zero. Oil change --> 517hp.

Why not just use an Acura NSX? That's what the challenge was for... :pface

Ok. Just curious, but was that time with, or without the oil change?

So far, my best with the Acura NSX = 1:18.178 I'll try a few more runs tomorrow. Hopefully bring it down to low 1:17's...

OK. Well I went and bought an Acura NSX and spent about $300,000 total. The result is a time of 1:16.889. Not bad considering that this NSX was 74 hp slower than my type Zero. I could do better, but I turned the PS2 off w/o saving. Oh well Ill do it all again 2morrow.

That first time was with the oil change. The second time with the Acura was low cuz of the gearing was good I guess. I could've also done about .5 to1 seccond better wth the Type S Zero.
