Some of you may recall a few months back when I had user "audiovisionY33" bring in a set of espilir lowering springs for the G50.

Due to some financial conflicts, I had to sell them to another person who I owed something to anyway.. Well, this person called me back, freaking out about how much he liked the springs. HE said that the ride was very nice, the look is great and overall he loves how it turns out, recommending to anyone...

Anyway, would anyone be interested in getting a set??? I probably need 10 sets to get the ball rolling and it may be a little wait since theyre being imported from Japan...

Price is going to be in the $300-400 range, no more no less. I have not narrowed down anything yet thats just an educated guess.

Hmmmm......aren't these the ones you thought were overly stiff and harsh? Maybe I am confused.

In any case, some good specification data wouild be nice if you can locate it.

If they didn't lower, I would be interested.

I'd be interested. I'd also like to know by how much they would lower, and % stiffness increase over stock.

It would be honorable to take them to a spring dyno and actually measure their stiffness at the compressed height usually half free height.

Many aftermarket skip this step to proving linearity or non linearity.

Would help buyers select the proper perfect shock.

Pictures of the Q with the Espilir springs would be nice along with their suspension setup.

Im working on getting the guy to snap some pics... We'll see, its probably similar to the eibach springs..

Price is looking to be in the $380 range. I think I need 10 people to be in for the GB to work, since theyre going to be brought in from a container from Japan.

Without knowing the spring rate of the lowering springs, how can you state they will work great with the Tokiko shocks?

If the stock front spring's free length is 16.9" and the FSM says 146 pounds per inch and the unloaded weight is 80 pounds then the body loads the spring by 1000 pounds:

1000/146= 6.85" of spring compression mounted on an unloaded car on the street.

SO 6.85/5.85= 117% so the spring would need to be 17% stiffer than stock IF the drop is exactly 1.00000000000"

OF COURSE if there is a driver and passenger the spring will further compress depending on the weight of each.

What every shock you use would need to be 17% stiffer in all parameters to exact match the spring.

By coincidence or design Tokico Blue HP versions are 15% stiffer........close enough for the street but not the space shuttle.

Back in the 90's Eibach sold a spring kit with Tokico HP shocks all bundled together.

Unfortunately Linear springs are harder to find NOW and many make progessives since they are easier to design and fit in the oem space.Even Eibach's are progressive in the rear why I didn't go thru the math for rear.

The wife has given me the go-ahead to overhaul my suspension (the squeaking front passenger strut is annoying her). Definitely count me in for some springs.

Hmmm... I like how Q45 people still think their cars will spontaneously explode if they ran conservative aftermarket lowering springs with their stock struts, and even readily-avl aftermarket struts. Of course, there's no reason not to take into consideration the fact that springs like the Espelirs are produced by one of Japan's best suspension manufacturers and they don't just pump out crap that makes people's cars explode... as this particular product has been available in Japan for people to run on the same cars as we have here for probably a decade and a half. Ohhhh, but they're right hand drive... oh, yah in that case your lhd car WILL explode when you run these springs!

So what is the progress? Is this really going to happen. You can count me in on the group buy. I would like some for my 94 Q.
