I had to revive this thread....

I finally got around to installing my SBD Grounding Kit today... (ive been lazy)

It took all of 20 minutes to install, and although I am not the "gold standard" in these types of things, it does seem to me that the car has a bit of a change to it... What I can equate it to is a bit more "hop in its step"... I am going to drive around a bit tonight and report if i see any MPG differences!

Another fan here, Nate!

I'm not sure if I gained any fuel economy, but the CVT shifts (manual mode) were definitely crisper when accelerating quickly, and the audio system is louder (I use a lower volume number now). I'm an electronics hobbyist and know the value of good grounding in digital circuits... which describes more of today's auto electrics than I care to think about, so better grounding has to be a plus. The Sentient kit is beautifully done, looks great, and was painless to install.

Im in the same boat here, i drove a little under 100 miles with it today and my avg mpg was increased about 9% or roughly 2mpg.

(bashing head against keyboard thinking about the $$ id have now if installed this when I got my car)

Ditto here, just installed finally yesterday.

I set a db meter and measured before and after with a common stereo setting and song, got a 2db up-tick. Although that speaks to the draw characteristics, it can't describe the crisper sound, unfortunately, my ears can't tell the difference (not a criticism of the kit, but of my ears).

As for HID's there is a definite effect. Faster start, about the same brightness (eyeballed).

Will be a while before I see if there is a mileage benefit. I'm sitting at 22.5 (3.5 v6) so we'll see if there is an up-tick.

As for the kit and instructions, all brilliant, very happy here.

Two cents,-- Wind

Hey SBD..... are these still available for the coupe, and if so, what colors do you have? I think I would prefer RED.

Kits are still available (as you know since you bought one lol).

Colors that I can get are blue, red, black (similar to the gumetal, but a little cooler-not like "I'm so cool"-Cool as in the color).

I believe I can still get Silver as well. I'd have a much larger color palette, but I try to keep the cost down for you guys.

I'm a graphic designer, we describe colors as cool or warm and all understand each other. I say cool on the internet and everybody thinks I'm using antiquated "pop" adjectives.

Shoot me an email when you get things situated and I'll take care of you.

just a warning for future install, DON'T TORQUE THE SCREW TOO HARD. That aluminum does strip super easily if you screw them too hard. I did just that for one of them and I had to find a bigger screw

also, for point D in the install I had to find an extra nut for the bolt coming maybe on the install vehicle they already was a nut on the bolt but in mine it was just a bolt's end coming out.

anyhow, so about the quality of the cable, it's AWESOME! the blue is really cool looking.

I went out for a test drive and boy did I notice the faster throttle response, but the most noticeable was the VDC that kicked in MUCH faster and more precisely. It also cut off a lot sooner. On idle the car didn't vibrate as much, the rpms didn't fluctuate as much as usual. and when I shifted the rpm matching was a LOT smoother.

tomorrow I'll do a 155miles trip and i'll tell you guys about any mpg gains or loss
Hey Mcheddadi, I have the same problem with the bolt on point D. There is not a nut in that location. Do you remember what size nut that was you used?
