I want to buy an intercooler, but would the core of the VSPL be over-kill for a semi-stock SR pushing stock boost?

Can I retain the OEM BOV with this intercooler?

I dont know about the bov, but Ive been running the VSPL since I did my swap and it was stock for like 2 months after I did it. I had no issues, a little bit of lag but nothing horrible.

The greddy kit has a 1" port to retain the stock recirc valve..Front mount intercoolers are a great upgrade even on a stock boosted sr...

I wasn't sure if the core size was too large for the power I will be making.

Well you are going to notice a small amount of lag and loss in throttle response at low rpms..But you make up for it in mid and high rpm range...Its a night and day differents in power..Plus when i installed my Hybrid FMIC kit i picked up 1psi in boost.I now boost 8psi with the BC turned off..
