ive bought things off xo2racing in the past ... 2 yrs ago they were ok - now **** for customer service or even answering a direct question via email or phone. if you dont need help, they are decent.

What makes this a giant piece of crap that its sugguested that no one use this compared to all the other ebay knock off's of other parts out there ... ??? nothing.

there are a ton of knock off's on ebay that perform well. personally i wouldnt trust any moving/mechanical knock off parts (ie: ssac turbo's & wg's), but i would have no problem buying other knock off parts AS I UNDERSTAND YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET. there is no arguement that this part MAY not be as nice as the real Greddy unit but the overall performane may yield the same or very close to. the same can be said for all the sr/ka parts on ebay right now. Have you guys ever seen the comparison of the Megan & Apexi Coilovers a few years back??? same coil design, same #'s stamped in the same spots on the coil, just a different color. my point is there is no reason to label all knock off parts as "should not be used" ... but research and discression should be used when looking at knock offs.

that being said, i bought one of these intake mani's. its not here yet but ill take pictures of it and post it for all to judge. ive also got a ebay top mount turbo mani too that im very impressed with. YES, the arguement of ssac/ebay VS top brands has been covered to death ... and i understand that it will most likely not last as long, but we'll see what happens.

just my $.02 ....

I have seen countless SR's with "Greddy Style" Intakes, and they said they have had no problem with them. Some were upward to 500WHP. But it all goes down to preference.

cast aluminum is cast aluminum, same sh-t, only thing different with that and the greddy's is the casting smoothness , nothing a dremel tool will fix. shinny polished one may not tell different from the shinny polished greddy's

i think they are ok for the low budget. buy it and spend some time with a dremel tool to port it nicely, it will work fine....i don't mind trying one out. the greddy's isn't worth the $. stick with the stock one if you're not upgraded on the turbo part.

do not de paint this manifold. There are some serious errors in the casting. I bought one of these for 250 and sanded it down. I found many discrepancies. Deep pitting in the casting all over the manifold. Filled in with bondo or something of that sort. Now, as for fitment. Only had ream 2 holes for fitment. Other than that it seats well and fits well.

cast aluminum is not the same shyt, please dont educate people with false information plz. a proper cast needs to be very precise with temperatures while poured, and must have a properly packed sand around and inside the cast. it is very tricky and you can easly make shyt castings if done wrong. Thanks

I'm poor and will probably buy one of these in the next weeks, I have some christmas money to burn, plus my buddy's SR greddy knock off has worked great for him with 350whp. If it sucks, I'll just build a custom plenum and weld it to the runners.

Have fun welding to that sh*tty cast aluminum.Welding to cast aluminum is hard enough, welding to crappy cast aluminum is going to interesting.

Let's look at that statement just because I am in the mood.

If you are poor then I suggest you do not burn any money you can put your hands on, stick it in the bank! Or, you could use a little bit of that money you want "burn" on something less flashy but more functional like a fresh set of plugs, replacing some crunchy hoses etc.

Your buddy wasted his money. If all you want is 400HP most any Nissan OEM manifold will support that and it costs nothing, Nissan is shipping all engines after 1950 with them! You would rather; 1. spend what rare liquid cash you have on something you likely don't need2. something that is known to be ****3. you would then compound that by spending more to re-engineer said POS.

Think about that for a moment and if it still makes sense to you by all means burn that money because that is essentially what you are doing.

Just because it has poor casting doesn't mean it's a waste of money, does it? If you use something like port and polish mandrels to smooth out the inside of the runners, I don't see how this manifold is any different than a greddy. If it has the same dementions as a greddy manifold, and you smooth out the i.d. of the runners then performance should be the same. Plus the extra time to ream out mounting holes or smoothing off the inside of the runners only means less time sitting on your *** watching TV.

I'd say an SR manifold ripoff is a waste of money if all you're after is 400-500hp, as the stock manifold will work OK. However, there are many advantages of having a front facing manifold on an RB, mainly because they stock one goes over the top, not true with an SR.

i just want on to get rid of all the crappy IC pip that a front facing manifold would not have to run.

i'm stating the "aluminum" material itself is pretty the same, don't read it wrong----what you're stating is manufacturing procedure, and that is no argument, different with the greddy's. but negligible if you spent time with a dremel on the knock off version. it's just a plenum for gawd sake, not like a piston. worth saving $400+ to me, which can be spent toward more critical parts, like turbo, wastegate, or electronics.

Has anyone confirmed that the dimensions on the knock-off are the same as the Greddy that it is "knocking off"? Wouldn't be such a great deal if it didn't result in the same performance gains, but then again I don't search for cheap parts when it comes to the motor.

the price says it all.. both companys have to mark up their product to make profit. 700$ vs 300$ how much work do you want to do to make it work? and will it even provide power gains or restrict flow?

Well, i guess I don't really mean I'm poor, just stengy and don't feel like paying 800 for a greddy manifold. I just hate the pipe across the valve cover, and 350 for a front facing one just to see how it does, which im sure isn't as bad the the hype people give to these ebay products, is worth it to me. I'm not forsure ordering it just yet, buying some other stuff first like a new heavy duty clutch, but if i have some money left over I wouldn't mind trying one out to see how it does. Its not like i can't put my stock one back one. I just don't see how somebody can say its crap if they haven't first hand put one on their car and had it fail. I guess when I'm done, and the other few who may try it, will be the only ones to really give justice to whether or not its junk, right?

Very true, ppl can misjudge. Like I said before I have seen high HP apps with "Greddy style" manifold. Even in mags. I think its worth a try and may be purchasing one here soon.
