sounds superb. any links yet?? i havent seen any. maybe they're bringing back the endless supply of used cars available. that would be excellent. i think they know they messed up by not including them in the 3rd.

yes, i agree on the used car bit. needless to say, 1000 cars is gonna cover pretty much every car we could name from past and present and then some, so I'm thinking they've got it covered this time. The only links I've found are links to one paragraph write-ups on a one minute driving impression of one course for one lap.

That SRS game is pretty much Midnight Club with a lot more features...I bet if I ever come across it when I got money, i'll buy it, unless GT4 is sitting on side of it!

nope...i suggest you go out and buy a PS2...its it definitely worth it...although games can get expensive, the realism and overall quality of the games are awesome

lol...i know how it is...but pop a playstation 2 in front of his face with a few of the many Racing games out for the platform, he'll change...i know i did!

Still stick with my computer games, but love my PS2 as well!

The only reason I bought my PS2 was for GT3, and GT1&2 were the only games i ever kept for my PS1. I live for Gran Turismo baby. I am counting the days.........

bet ur left one they are, although i have to admit, whenver they say its due out, add about 5months to it, and that'll give u a ball park, the last was 9months late, they even changed it from granturismo 2ooo to gt3 a-spec

This month's EVO magazine did a write up with the Gran Turismo creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, on location at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, UK where his crew is logging photos and telemetry of numerous unique cars for the game. The article states that there will be over 1000 cars, more than all of the first three games combined.

Good game. I cant drive in real life, let alone on a video game. Anywho, I have an X-Box, so I get left out anyway.

When it comes out, tell me if it is good enough for me to buy a PS2.

so, the idea of racing pretty much any car you could imagine on the latest console(GT4 will of course be playable on PS3, or whatever name they give it) does not appeal to you?? Ask anybody and they'll tell you, aside from a few haters who declare GT3 to be "understeer3", that the Gran Turismo series is the best, bar none.

no, no, what i meant was, it'll be playable on the next generation playstation, just like the PS1 games are playable on PS2. sorry about the confusion. The article i read didn't speak of a release date, and judging by the fact that they are still logging pics and specs of cars to be put into the game, it'll no doubt be a while. they did, however, comment on the fact that GT3 pushed the limits of the PS2...and also that it'll be playable online, which the PS2 can do, and no question the PS3 will also. after reading the article, I concluded that it will come out for PS2, but time will tell.

There's a pretty good street racing game out for the pc now, it's called Street Legal, and it's only like 20 bucks, then you got to download 4 patches. My pc has been *****ing up latly, so I've been having problems installing it, but on my old pc, it was a lot of fun, I didn't get to see what the 4th patch did, but it was pretty cool without it. link:http://www.activisionvalue.com...egal/

As I understand it, the reason they had so few cars in GT3 was it took one person one week to produce a model for one car. The PS1 incarnations of GT's models took only a day. that's why the release date kept being pushed back cuz they kept wanting to add more cars. they added at the last minute a bunch of cars that weren't even available yet like the RX8 and the RSX. Still GT3 kept me buisy for months, and from what I've seen this game will prolly make me quit my job. I might even get a wheel for this one.

s14sr20det: you should at least consider renting a PS2 to try out GT3 and or GT4. if you've never played it, you havent lived if you consider yourself a gamer.
