it may be unsafe on public roads, but for track application, i'd like to know how to remove this, and not trip the check engine light

GET A AUTO ECU, IT HAS NO SPEED LIMITER.

IIRC, ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS CUT THE SPEED SENSOR WIRE FROM THE DASH TO THE ECU.

My SR has some sort of limitor at 135mph. It's odd. I can't figure out why. It does not appear to be the standard governor because it's so high, I'd like to remove it. But I can't even tell what it is. It feels the same as my KA governor did though.

The wire mentioned in the FAQ does work. That takes off the speed limiter. There is also a rev limiter that will come on in 5th @ 5000RPM. Pull the 5th gear transmission plug. The computer then will not know that you are in 5th gear.

The super elite don't tell anyone Accord owner is a bonehead if he actually cut the dash wire. This is very old information guys.

I took mine to 130MPH. My car couldnt push any more power to keep it going.

Maybe its the 5th gear rev limiter? Trying pulling that out and give it another try.

It didnt bounce like a rev limitor, it just kinda hit a wall, it was EXACTLY like the governor. But it could be the 5th gear limitor. That does make sence. It was higher than 5000 rpm though. It was at about 6k in 5th that I hit the limitor.

here is the video of me going from 0-135mph

It could be the rev limiter. What RPM are you at when it cuts out?

apparently the california models throw a check engine light when wires are cut or sensors unplugged...what is the alternative?
