Grats on the right hand shell, always thought it would be cool to get a legit shell for a project, and then remembered I would probably suck hard at learning how to shift with my left. I hope to see a build thread and all kinds of s13 goodness come from it.

well right now a build thread with goodies, wont be until i get a job, and with the economy right now its gonna be a little hard, but pics will be up when i do things to it. i also plan to have full interior because a stripped stock KA really doesnt help anything to me.

the things that still need to be done- steering column bracket needs to be swapped to the right side, ebrake bracket needs to be swapped, then i can get the dash bar and steering column in. uhmm the brake lines, clutch cylinder needs to be put in, wiring is going to be a B*TCH! but i hope to learn alot bout my car and where things are.

things im taking out of my 240- engine, transmission, driveshaft, suspension, seats, door panels, back panels, back seats, wheels, steering wheel, pedals, cluster, wire harness, bumper with extensions, rear view, driver mirror, door locks, hatch lock, i believe i can use my ignition on this one. and i believe thats it. my motor will be cleaned before i put it in the RHD.

well its all in there, the guy said hell go back over the firewall welds if i wanted and to be sure, but i think i might go over the rust with a wire brush on a drill and get it off then paint over it so it wont rust again!

the guy also welds for a living if that helps any.

l0l, naw man im good, always wanted a RHD since i saw a friends,

but what do you mean correct side? is the blinker switch for the RHD going to be on the right side or left? ive been told it wont but ive seen that they will be, so its kinda confusing. and tommorow i will be primering the rear bumper, ill get some pics up. i cant really do anything on the inside yet because the steering column bracket needs to be on the right side, so i will ask the people how much theyll charge to swap it over,

EDIT: could i see a further pic of that RHD bay you did.

the blinker switch will be on the right side.

when you put the bracket on have them drill the spot welds, bolt the dash bar, steering column, and the bracket all together and tack it in place. then check the fitment by putting the dash in and bolting the steering column in.(thats how i did mine and it fits perfect)

heres my engine bay so far(edit: the wipers have been relocated)

all this for something that came this way in jp and by correct side i mean this, the 180sx wipers sit differently than the us chassis(notice the wiper motor on the other side of the engine bay)

ok i see what you mean, thanks man.

ooh and i know i have to do a brake line think, like one brake line to the driver side then one going over the motor to the left

EDIT: and i take it when you said this " when you put the bracket on have them drill the spot welds, bolt the dash bar, steering column, and the bracket all together and tack it in place. then check the fitment by putting the dash in and bolting the steering column in. " do it in that order?

basically

connect the steering column to the rackbolt the dash bar inplace the bracket on top of the dash bar(the bolts to that hold the steering column up also pass through this bracket)bolt the column up, and tack the weld bracket in place check your fitment finish welding

BH bring me a shell and front clip and ill give ya a rhd, if thats legal in cali. i heard sneezing was illegal lol

ok today i took out the center and dash to show yall what needs to be welded over, and to clean the dash, but i started wire brushing the welds, and praying them, ran out of paint, going to get some tommorow, uhm as you can see how bad it was and what it turned out when i did the dash bar, ha and i painted that too, tommorow i plan on finishing the welds inside of the car and hopefully the bay, and i plan on painting the bay and interior white, or maybe the bay black, i dont know yet, ill choose when it comes down to the point, and here are the pics,
