Yea, it's probably right in between the Corolla and your pickup in terms of straight line speed. It's definitely a momentum car.
Improved Touring has a LOT of limitations to the class. Under SCCA rules, you can take an IT car and run it in it's Street Prep class but you cannot deviate from IT rules, so I have to use 14x6 wheels. Street Prep cars have their intake free while my plenum is unchangeable. They dont really stack up very well and there is little to no benefit of an IT car in Solo II, especially since it's sprung for VIR (translation: soft).
I'm less concerned about how fast it is on the solo II course right now, just trying to get some seat time on the car and figure out what will need to be changed.
Anyone want to take a stab at the price I paid? In total I got:
-Car
-Radio (not stereo, radio for comm)
-Transponder
-Two jugs of 100 octane
-2 sets of Hoosier R6's (one sticker, one used)
-1 set of Toyo RA1's
-1 set of winter tires (basically for putting on the car while it's just sitting around)
*all tires are mounted on wheels already
-Spare fender (great for when you turn into a bumper car)
-Spare fluids (motor oil/gear oil/etc all via previous owners sponsorships)
-Spare brake pads
-Spare rotors
-New replacement starter/alternator
-FSM (not on disc, actual fsm)
-Car cover
