got my uprev and i totally fell in love with my car once more. off the back i noticed that the shift timing points are more aggressive.(when you put the car in the manuel mode have you noticed after you shift there would be a pause, then you would feel the torque. now its boom boom boom. when you shift it hits it right away.)

stock run. with cold air intake and full catback megan exhaust. i was running 280 to wheel, and 310 torque.
after the uprev i was at 306 to the wheel and 340 torque.
he rated the crank at 360 hp and 400 torque.

im gonna update the video later, this quality is horrible.. will try to get a better one from a different friend who came out.

694$$$

300 for the license and 350 for the custom tune. And the rest are taxes and fees

Damn, VA would be a hell of a drive for me, LOL.
I have the Megan exhaust and Injen CAI as well. Anyone know of any GOOD UpRev tuners in SoCal? Or, has anyone used the Cypher cable setup?

Thanks!

LOL yeah that would be nice drive for you. enjoy the scenery and all. The shop i went to is called Hills Garage in Baltimore MD, there tuner is the best tuner i have heard of. Frank Smith.. this was his first m45 sport and im very happy with what he did.
his specialty's are bmw or infiniti's

Where in Va are you KoMikeev? I'm in Newport News and was wondering how long was the drive to the shop, and do they have a awd dyno?

Quis- You are looking at about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from NN... Word of advice. Avoid the morning and evening rush hour on I-95 or you'll hate life! :chuckle:

Hopefully, they'll have an awd dyno for ya. GL guys..

Congrats KoMikeey....now you have a well tuned and running M....did the tuner give you the A/F (air fuel ratio) prior and post dyno runs??? it's amazing how lean these cars run without a proper tune...great job...do you have copies of the dyno sheets?? interested to see your gain ranges (at what rpms, a/f ratio, etc...) good to see the V8's tuned....

if you are closer to the SouthBay/Long Beach area, you can get your UpRev tune at Church's Auto...I've gotten my tunes and re-tunes their every time.... if you're close to San Diego, check out Jim Wolfe...

the tuner forgot to change the name on the dyno machine before but changed it afterwards, yeah mine was running really lean and the gas was pinging which isnt good. using 93 exxon and still pinging some s*** water downed s***. but here are the sheets.

^ the image doesn't show...

...yeah I know it's crazy bad to have these cars running lean. I hope more guys on this forum that are doing mods get tuned...the benefits make the difference... Did your tuner set you up with other maps? I keep my car in "sport" mode...and when I drive in Manual mode, the fun begins :)

yeah, he gave me 5 maps, 1-3 are sports mode, but he recommends me to stay in map 1, 4 is valet mode, and 5 is anti theft mode, the car wont start at all untill you change the map.

my car is in sport mode but untill i put in manual mode the beast leashes out more power, lol its crazy how a tune can change it all

i tried to post the images but not sure how to get it working..

yes...the tune is a good thing...my anti theft mode freaked me out when my tuner originally put it on - I was like "what tha".....LOL...its a great feature when I park the car at airports or malls....

regarding your dyno sheets, you can save them to your desktop then go to a source like Photobucket or something and upload the images from your desktop to photobucket or whatever source...then copy the IMG code from photobucket and paste the IMG code to your posts.......that's what I've done and has worked over the years :bigthumb:

oh and yeah there is a torque map too. on the dyno everytime the tuner shifted it would shift so hard, the car would jump on the dyno so he had to tune it down to make it more safer.

Glad you're loving it OP. Too many people overlook the tune...

I just picked up an M45 sport and will be tuning it as soon as I get it back from the body shop, Its stock for now with just a K&N drop in filter so i'll probably just street tune the AFR's, electronic throttle, and torque manangement and then go dyno once I have some more mods. I'll post up a thread once I do. I changed the spark plugs the day I got it and it appeared to be running very lean so it'll be intresting to see how she responds.

If anyone has any uprev specific questions feel free to post up or shoot me a PM

You don't "have" to go on a dyno to get a tune.. 90% of the gains are from stuff you can adjust without a dyno

So are you saying he didn't leave it in fourth gear when tuning it? I don't see why he'd shift from first to fourth at high rpms.
