Oh well, preloaded or not they are on there good. It made it alot easier to get around in there with the wheel gone too.....

After another few days I am going to get back under there and make sure everything is still tight.

did the ST sways really help that much. I really wanna get rid of body roll, but i can't decide between the whiteline vs. ST vs. SPL LCA's.

according to what i'm currently reading, they're more or less effecting the roll couple. one does it by pushing on each other(sway bar)...the other does it by raising and lowering the LCA. Plus you pick up more Heim joints to stiffen up that as well.

Sway bars don't affect the roll couple a suspension sees. The roll couple is only affected by the lateral acceleration(turning force) and the distance from the centroid of the body(center of gravity at that point) to the instantaneous center(line drawn from each suspension member until it intersects, this intersection = IC).

By lowering and raising the end of the LCA, you affect how far the IC is away from the CG.

Sway bars are much simplier, they act like torsion bars(think of a spring that uses the motion of one suspension arm to affect the other suspension arm).

yeah, i found a much better explanation right after i wrote that...=)

I understood how sways worked, it's the other that was confusing. I'll include the link that explains it best...so far anyway.http://e30m3performance.com/te...nter/

Sways are worth it, but for s14's the rear is worth it more. I experience front end "jabbing" or something like an s13

Its almost like an understeer or something. The front is so stiff and the back is so stiff, it makes for some hard times getting it to get sideways sometimes. I am getting used to it, but all in all I love my ST Sways. I recomend them.
