I wasn't racing or anything, I know better than that. But I was in my friends Del-Sol, and I spun out just a LITTLE BIT, and the cop got me for reckless driving. Me and a bunch of people were in a VACANT PARKING LOT too, which sucks. I told my mom and she was cool. She was like "it was bound to happen sometime. We just wont tell your dad for a while though, heh" I was like YEAAAA, YOU RULE! lol. But truthfully I am very pissed, mostly at myself for being dumb. Oh well, Just figured I'd share.

I have some connections. I think I can get it taken off the record completely, as long as I don't get another ticket within a years time. Either that, or I have the option of traffic school, which I think also takes it off my record. I'll do anything!!!

that sucks!!my rear tires are a bit more worn than my front ones. so moderate gas (while making turns) makes them scream pretty loud. one of these days i'll get busted too. better rotate! :D

Have you guys ever noticed the seasoned cops, like the older cops really arent as strict as the new recruits. I know like in my town the new cops are A-holes, bust you for anything they can find. But the older cops are more mellow, and if you are actually doing something wrong most times they will give you just a warning and set you on your way. I swear the newer cops are trying to impress the older ones with the more tickets they bring in. Just my thoughts...

I have an officer that lives across the street from me. He told me he doesnt pull anyone over for speed unless they are doing something stupid. He is more concerned with people with out of county license plates in Indy buying crack.

Not sure, but most of my tickets have been pretty memorable.1st ticket: The Indiana State Trooper nearly hit me trying to cross the median to get behind me. Was crazy. 2nd ticket: Nearly ran down an IPD officer who was standing in the middle of Meridian Street with his hand held up high. (Dumb ***) I yelled fack as I was inches away from hitting him, I am sure he heard me.3rd: I also got pulled over in Ohio on my honeymoon. Ford Contour with "Just Married" signs in the back. I was sure the guy would give me a break. I have no love the Ohio State Police. 4th: Got a ticket for speeding (totally my fault). The cop knocked it down since I pulled over to the right and waited for him to turn around and catch up. The next morning someone broke into my 240 to steal a stupid face plate on my head-unit. That was the second time in 24hrs I got to sit in a squad car.

I think I have had 4 tickets all together in my driving career.

I didn't it came like that when i bout the car.. The window is tinted from the top down 8inchs.... i like it doesn't bother me but they say its only allowed to be 3 or 4 inches at max.. I think the cop had his night stick shoved up his asstoo far... :( i even forgot to pay it and it was in another county.. 2 months later they sent my a notice of suspension on my license.. I paid it the next day..

man cold zero you have some list there. got a speeding ticket when i was about 10 days from turning 18. the girl i was with was messing with my radar detector, while i was away, and somehow disabled it or turned it on to highway mode i forget. lost my license and am still currently serving. (georgia has the graduated license thing where if you do anything under 18 you most likely wont be driving/going to driving school.)

uhhh it would be my belief that spinning out a del-sol (no matter the extent of the "spin") takes some doing. unless you were going backwards. and you still have to be driving like a jackass. or you had fast-food trays under the back wheels, to make the car fishtail. then you'd deserve a ticket. nevertheless..."maneuvers" in a parking lot are going to get you a ticket. sounds like you learned the lesson the hard way.

ps- wreckless driving is a serious ticket. dont blow your wad too soon, pardner.

i got a smile and a wave from a sheriff one time as i passed him going the other direction at ~84mph in a 45...ahhhhh, good times.

it was either C & D or R&T that ran a story about New Rome, Ohio where the cops bust people every day for stuff like missing wheel locks and not having your hands on the wheel and all the minor traffic violations you can think of. If you get it taken off, i'd stay out of that place.

I dont know how it is where you live, but in VA, a reckless driving ticket = 90 day license suspension if you are under 18 and also here driving school dont do **** if your under 18, no points back, no cleared record, just something they usually throw on top of it all.

Stutt944, it isn't hard to spin a delsol. I wasn't like doing donuts, I just spun the front tires. I revved to 3k, dumped the clutch and floored it. Spun a lil bit, not a huge amount at all. But, enough to get me in trouble. Yes, I learned my lesson. The crappy thing, is I hardly EVER do stupid stuff, but the one time I do, I get caught.

Reckless driving? In a parking lot?

I think there might be some jurisdictional issues there (unless KY is as bass-ackward as I suspect). Find out WHO the owner of the property is first. Then report back and we'll talk.

AZ, ky IS a bass-ackward place. I dont even want to dig deeper into this crap, like find out who the actual owner is and stuff. I'll just try and take traffic school or whatever so it doesn't go on my record. The actual fine is 20 bucks, but court fees are like 110. Stupid morons rip you off.

Well, in AZ you can't be cited for civil traffic offenses on private property.

Which means I can do 140mph in my driveway. :D

Does that mean you'll be building the AZhitman Motorspeedway in the back yard some time soon? ;)

Just like a driveway, only more round!

Mwahaha ibsatch my first ticket was supposed to be reckless but I got it dropped because I was "polite". I guess he (older cop) didn't expect someone my age to be courteous.

if I didn't learn how to slide my Rodeo, and later on, my S13 and S14 around in a parking lot, I'd have had a LOT more accidents. .

Being comfortable with the car sliding is VERY important. .you will panic much less if something happens, and be under MUCH more control.

Fight the ticket.

Haha like when you (successfully) evaded the cops.
