Got my first ticket

I have no option *not* to appear in court, so I am going to have to go and plead guilty but try and get traffic school I guess. If I do that it won't go on my record. Either that, or I think this lady at my church can help me out also...I need to call her.

sorry to hear that. your lucky tho. if i geta ticket i can't drive!! my dad wil take my t-bird and would end all things fun!! i just try to behave. keyword try. sometimes it don't work. thats why the dang front end of my car ahs a battle scar. but hopefully you can get it taken off your record!!

Who hasn't successfully evaded the cops? I have a good story about that one...thank god for exits and a busy downtown waco

I've gotten 6 tickets now...it's time I slow down. I got most of them when I was 16 ( big suprise...I was a scary fast driver then)

tickets suck

I haven't got a ticket yet, but I was putzing around the local twisties today *whistles innocently*. I also got jury duty, which is just as bad. I can either do it now and miss work or postpone till Xmas. Dammit.

Anyway, sorry to veer off subject... I know my tires squeak a lot, and this is letting off the clutch lightly at 1500 RPM. Maybe I should get new tires :P

Don't street race....I almost got my fastback impounded if the cop cited me for that.....

But he just gave me unsafe start and unsafe speed.

And the Teg I raced, the driver didn't have a license.....BOOYAH

yeah cops shouldnt be allowed to give you tickets on private property, its like if i want to do a burn out in my drive way facing my house why is that illegal ????? im not on a public road way there fore not endangering any other drivers and what not.

ben dont just lie down to the law. . all they want is the revenue from the ticket and getting the points and suspension of L's is just a side effect of it. . go in and plead innocent if you explain that the ticket was issued on private property you maybe able to beat it , if not most likely they will offer a plea agreement, or the officer might just not show up and they will dismiss the case all togther . .

check the local laws on it call a lawyer ask his opinion about it. it cant hurt to try , but it can hurt to lay down and take it wth out a fight! ! !

hey i justy got mai ticket the other nite for speeding... but the cop saw me drift and went up to me n sed he didnt nail me for wreckless driving. its gay cuz im only 17 and he nailed me for curfew too

Remember, parental consent over-rides a curfew.

Hey Ben,Bad news on the wreckless driving ticket.They are havok on your points and ins. rates.I was an idot when I was younger.(not that I grew compleatly out of it)I had to go with out driving for a year and a half due to too many tickets.Mostly wreckless driving and speeding.If you can get it changed to something other than wreckless driving(try improper start),even if it does cost you some lawyer fees, then you may be better off in the long run.Good Luck bro.

Local high schools SUCK...I'm never allowed back at mine. I didn't sign in when I went to visit my girlfriend and it pissed them off (of course, since they werent very nice in asking me to leave...I said a few not nice things myself

) that cost me 250 bucks...and it would have cost me 500 if I hadn't fought it and gotten the disorderly conduct - gesture charge dropped. Fight it man

they plea bargain quite often or dont show up at all.

Very similar thing happened to me, but I was still a student. I took classes at another school so i was never at "my" school, went to talk to one of the teachers and took my gf who graduated a yr before me w/ me. Well the vice principal thought I had graduated and didn't sign in, to make a long story short he and the schools cop(they have 1 in all the schools here it seems) followed us to class then wanted to arrest me and I made them feel like sh** when they realized I was still a student and hadn't done anything(right infront of a class).

Back to the topic, my first ticket resulted from the accident that totalled my first 240. Then a month l8er, in my escort zx2, got pulled over cus i crossed the white line making a right hand turn at 2 am. The cop gave up when he figured out I wasn't drunk, couldnt get my liscense outta the crack between the seats, and recited my SSN so fast he didn't even bother to call it in.

Nice...high schools are REALLY touchy and we have a cop at my old one too...but he wasnt there when it happened to me, it was just the lovely crotchety old man renta-cop who hates me because I always wore a hat at school. Actually, they figured out I wasnt a student BECAUSE I was wearing my hat that day
