I will call him tomorrow maybe. but as far as that case your talking about, i would say that the chip was set for small gain with Great reliability, soo,,either way I will probably do those two mods first on my 91, since its all stock just to see if i can get you guys a good deal.. i will eventuallu be doing a full supercharged build, with a stand alone ecu, and changing cams completly, but i will probably give this a shot first just to get it all on record. just to give a little insight, i previosly owed a 96 chevy s-10, 2.2l I4 5spd. fac rated at bout 120c hp, tested @ 16.38 1/4 mileand with a buddys programs and one night in texas, the next morning 10deg cooler temp, it ran 13.87 1/4mile with no other mods but 92oct fuel and 2 bots oct booster.@ 18galso finally when i moved to florida i ran it one at bithlo, with addition of duel open exuast from cat back, 104 race fuel, removed air filter, comp retune and some 295-60-15 street slicks, it ran 12.8? and they kicked me out.(i still have pics and slip somwhere)however it was definatly not reliable, or fuel economic.and after about 6 month of that setup and lets of shocked losers,, the motor went sky high.

ok tired of typing X

Put the crack pipe down, you seriously believe that your 118HP/130TQ 2.2L 4 Cylinder runs a 16.38 1/4mile? (Around 95HP dyno HP, maybe less)

So you say you can even run faster than the V6 model w/ a 17.21 1/4mile @ 84.4MPH?

http://autos.msn.com/research/...sub=1

Now with your friends super duper program you pulled a 13.87 from a 16.38? What the ***** are you smoking?

You made a 2.51 time difference with a program? Do you know how much HP you need to reduce even 1 sec off your 1/4mile times? about 50 to 100HP, so you're saying that you made 200HP over stock with your friend's program?

Sorry to say man, but you're a fugging idiot. If you don't have a clue what you're saying don't post this crap to the kid and give him false hopes.

those chevy 2.2L crapboxes couldn't run the 1/4 that fast boosted, let alone with a "chip". either you were running 1/8 mile or you're full of it,:rolleyes

stilesg57 - Yeah, I did talk about shortening the KA stroke earlier, I don't know if there's any kits to do that though. The original integra type R engine actually *exceeded* F1 piston speeds at the time IIRC, and I'm pretty sure most 4-cylinder motorcycle engines are pushing it too, so I'm willing to bet it's technically feasible. At least for a 10,000rpm engine, an 18,500rev KA would be a whole nother story. Of course, actually getting the parts is a whole different ball game; you'd probably need to design and machine them yourself, unless Infiniti Racing makes KA parts...

ok bud ha ha ,, kiss it, seriously what did you have don to your s-10? huh? well?, and who do you get your chips and ecu upgrades huh?, if you think your going to tell me im an outright liar, your wrong, im not messin around, maybe you should wait a while and use your brain and you might come up with the same results.. and by th way, i have personally built a costomers 240, 89', with the same type of mods and you dont want to know what i can pull from an engine, you need to realize that your not the smartest kid on the block, and neither am i,,, do you really think that jim wolf will just tell you you can get 180% gain on an engine for the about the same price? trust me, if we all could get infinat hp for dirt cheap, the world would probably die of too many Gs. so in conclusion, that info was just to say i may be a little, teny tiny bit smarter or luckier then you.,

where you there, did you see THAT truck? no, apparently not,

You can't pull **** out of your *** even if you had the runs.

Don't post because you are a moron.

If you are so damn smart at getting HP out of a motor, you should be building NASCAR engines left and right, forget the dinky 4 cylinder crap.

If you want to prove your know how, post ANY of your so called customer's cars dyno w/ your mods.

I might not know as much about cars, but I sure as heck know more than you buddy.

And those ebay timing chips are good for 20HP right?

hahaha, i'm not expecting to get my goal out of 800 dollars...lol. That's insane! i'm not some newbie who doesn't know what they're talking about. I'm simply a guy who's checking around for the most feasable way to gain power out of 800 dollars. Nothing spectacular is expected, mind you. i understand the hard road ahead to achieve my goal but to me, that's what makes it worth it. Funds may run out and i'll have to abandon it but right now i'm setting my sights on my goal. I've been juggling around JWT cams with ECU retuning but JWT hasn't returned my email yet on pricing...Or simply I/H/E would be the wisest choice since those mods will compliment the rebuild at a later time...thank you all for your tips so far :)

240dreamer, if you _really_ look, I bet you can find ways to improve your car (including [reclaiming "lost"] performance) WITHOUT adding "performance parts".

Of course, if everything is currently meeting or exceeding factory specs, just ignore me :D
