Yea I almost hit a guy on a BMW motorcycle about a month ago. He followed me to a light, pulled up next to me and asked if I saw him. I said no I didnt. All he said was OK, no problem, and rode away and gave a quick wave to me.

They do look sweet, but they are not worth what they cost. I think they are more of a status symbol. I love V-twins, I had three, but I am a die hard Suzuki fan. SV650 and TL1000S. Both totalled :(

TL1000 and Honda's VTR1000(RC51) are amazing in my eyes. A buddy of mine had a 996 for some time. He's been a Honda fanatic for years, but decided to go for the gusto and buy the Italian machine. He's never liked it, so, since he's a rich jerk, what does he do? Parks it in the garage and buys a 954Honda.

Old pic of my slow bike, sitting lonely in storage.. awaiting the sunshine.

Ducatis are v-twins, thus the sound. You'll find the RC-51s and SV-1000s sound similar. I do love the sound of a liter Duc though. :)

Oh, and I would be highballing to offer $5k - as in it would have to be a phenomenal bike in a crap market. No offense though, and thanks for discussing without anger - nice to see some people don't get offended when you disagree. :)

No problem, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Just ONE more thing and I am done, lol! Dosen't everyone set their starting price a lil' high to make sure that their accepted price is just right?? I do at least;)

Well I tend not to set my prices too high but I don't haggle so that saves all the mindgames, it costs exactly what i siad it will and that's it, buy or get to steppin. I had one kid try to play that "I only brought this much" game, amateur. I told him for pissing me off it was $1000.00 extra, only for him.I got to get some new feet for the bike, any personal tire testimonials from the guys on the board that go both ways, bikes and cars I mean:pface I loved the Dunlop 208s the bike had on it, sticky as an ex-wife's lawyer!

Everybody around here runs the pilots or battle axe.

I ran dunlop 207, 207gp, and 208 when they came out. Usally ran a 207 on back and a 207gp or 208 race scuff on the front.

Never had a moments problem with the dunlop.

Also, I have only ran the old cheap hard compound battle axe's back in the day. Didn't like them then, and that's the reason I never started running them. Alot of people also talk good about the new Metzlers, but I had one on my SV when I low sided, hard compound. And I never used another one. That was the factory tire for the SV.

I love them, they get sticky after like five feet of rolling. My riding buddies complain they grab and eject road debris when they are behind me. Lucky for them I leave them behind in short order:D. Cheap online tire sources anyone?

I have found NGK to be a quality product in both the car and the bike.

The Dunlops? I can't believe you guys like them! No feel at all - I've run both the 207s and the 208s. My next tire will be the Metzler Sportec M1, and failing that, I'll try the Michelin Pilot Sport.

To hell and back with Dunlop - worst tires I ever dropped $400 for.

Everybody has their own favorite, it seems. I've been pleased with the real world daily use of the Dunlop 207's.

Tires shouldn't be called tires; they should be called 'compromises'

Dunlop offers good compromise between cost, grip, wear, wet/dry performance/daily use. While a bike owner shouldn't be too concerned with price of a tire, it's still a determining factor for many owners, and the level of use I've gotten from the Dunlop 207/GP leads me to post that I am pleased with the all around usefullness of the tire.

11,500+ miles / daily commuter on sunny mornings and I'm pleased with the Dunlop brand.
