I just got my tint taken off, going to get the ticket written off in about half an hour.el_blacky06 wrote:or like here in cali if you take off ur window tint you still get hit with the fix up ticket which now costs 25 bucks
do you know anybody like that? cause i dont...I'm probably just ganna go to the DMV and pay it..its a hassle but gatta do..I'm not getting rid of my tintstoxik wrote:oh s*** fellow brooklyn coupe.
thats how cops are here, he thought you were being a hard a** so he gave you more tickets. I say just pay it, but ask around there are people that can make tickets dissapear for money
i might but it would probably cost more than what your tickets are. i got into a similar situation, they had a tint check point next to the sheapshead bay train station, i was nice to them though and the cop told me he liked what i did with the car. they gave me only one window ticket.bkbigf0ot wrote:do you know anybody like that? cause i dont...I'm probably just ganna go to the DMV and pay it..its a hassle but gatta do..I'm not getting rid of my tints
here in Cali I never understood why people tint the 2 roll up windows. I went 5% on my back windows and the front ones have factory tint. factory tint plus no light coming in from the back windows, makes it look hella dark. I've actually had people ask me what percent I tinted my front ones because it looks like they're tinted. waste of time, effort, and head ace from the police to tint the front ones in Cali.Rob.Vegan wrote:

So in New York you're not allowed to have any windows tinted ??? Were your windows up when he pulled you over or did he just guess
thats so gay......wecome fellow nyer...hope u come to meets carlisle is comin up in may u should come its like a 3 day vaca party and u can do autox n theres a huge car show n all loltoxik wrote:

back in the day, they would write off on it when you came to the precinct and told them you're tints are off, show them a "receipt" from a body shop. now, from what i hear, they're very anal and check your car before signing off.
i got the ticket for 1 tint....he walks away and i call him over because his name and badge are not clear on the ticket....I asked so if i go to court i would know who the cop was....that pissed him off and then he gave me 2 more tickets...1 for the back window and 1 for the head light...I'm not saying its legal to have tints but mine are %30 in the from and 20% in the back...that's almost nothing...i see people driving around with presidential all around....plus this was by the projects...I'm sure there are some crackheads and drug dealers they rather chase....I wasn't speeding or doing anything illegal.AZhitman wrote:What's F'ed up about him citing you for no headlights and illegal tint?
Why would you want his badge number? Not judging, just asking.... His name had to be on the citation as well.
What was the 3rd ticket for? Headlights, window tint, and what else?
It just amazes me that people get pissed when they get cited for violating the law. If you don't like the rules in NY, move someplace else.
Greg, you sound like a robot in that post. Who wouldn't get mad about getting a ticket? Whether the cop was doing his job or not is irrelevant. I don't care what anyone says but getting a ticket is bad luck... because everyone breaks the law driving at one point or another.AZhitman wrote:What's F'ed up about him citing you for no headlights and illegal tint?

He's definitely not a cop. Probably not the guy to be calling a a-hole either.bkbigf0ot wrote:This guy is probably a cop...next time u get pulled over i hope they revoke your license....***hole
Greg I'm still confused, first you say that you break the law by speeding but the cop doesn't give you a ticket since you are polite to him... well how is he doing his job? You're right I don't ignore my responsibilities at my job, because well that's my job. Am I supposed to ignore them because someone asked me to nicely?AZhitman wrote:There's a citation # on every ticket. The courts know who wrote the citation.
And getting a ticket is NOT "bad luck". There's no such thing. If I do 110 in a 55, I'm bound to get a ticket. If I stay at 55 - TADA! No ticket. There's no "luck", "fairies", "magic" or "witchcraft" involved. It's simple.
BTW, I speed ALL the time. ALL the time. I get pulled over on occasion. I'm polite, respectful, and friendly - No citations in almost 10 years.
And toxik - It's TOTALLY relevant. You want him to just ignore the illegal tint? Why? What benefit is there to him? Do you blow off YOUR job responsibilities for no good reason?
Calling someone a jackoff because they did their job is stupid.
Whining about a ticket you deserved is kinda lame. You said you're keeping your window tint... That's the price to have tinted windows in your state. Simple.
p.s. Fix your headlight.
Quite valid. But, does not ignoring either make him a jerk? Probably the easiest way to describe it, although not necessarily accurate.toxik wrote:Yes I do want him to ignore illegal tint... if he can ignore a speeding ticket.
Fair enough, I wasn't trying to blame you. Sorry if it looked like that. I'm sure the cop thought you were giving him attitude, hence his response. I guess if it comes up again, I wouldn't worry about his name/badge number. If it's too illegible on the ticket, you can always call the office and obtain that info. I usually try to be as polite as possible which will hopefully avoid the ticket. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.bkbigf0ot wrote:GUY GUYS GUYS
the point of all of this was that i asked him for his badge number....which is my right in the bill of rights...and for that he gave me 2 more tickets...thats what makes this cop a jerk off
His point: You b**** at the cop for getting tickets due to your illegal tint and having a headlight out. He's a jerk because you got caught. You also assume you received the other tickets because you asked for his name and badge number. Maybe you did due to your tone.bkbigf0ot wrote: Idiot.....people are here to vent and if you're ganna be an a** go to another forum topic
i hope you get a big fat fine next time u get pulled over and no "luck" will save u

The deal here is that Mr AZhitman will take responsibility for his speeding and not blame the cop for being caught.toxik wrote:Greg I'm still confused, first you say that you break the law by speeding but the cop doesn't give you a ticket since you are polite to him... well how is he doing his job? Speeding results in a ticket to prevent you from killing someone (that's idea behind it at least). So being nice to a cop doesn't make it alright to speed either. Therefore the cop didn't do his job, hence you will speed again and repeat.
Yes I do want him to ignore illegal tint... if he can ignore a speeding ticket.
LOOOOOOOOOOOL talk about taking your own advice? how about you stop brown nosing just because someone talked s*** to the boss.audtatious wrote:

As far as him being an a** for calling you out, maybe you should take your own advice?
