This could potentially be a thread that will get me laughed at for stupidity... or not.

Here is a short story about why I need it. If you don't care, proceed to the lower bold section, thanks.

I got a monthly pass at a fancy car wash by me and it has a system where you put this sticker on your windshield and it has something in it where this machine will pick it up and automatically let me through. So I had that all winter because I wash my car like 2-3 times a week and I wanted to stay clean but not freeze my balls off washing it and now that its spring its time to do it myself again.

I canceled it and went to take the sticker off and this thing is like impossible to get off. It's as sticky as the badges on our cars and it rips. I got MOST of the face off but this stuff sticks so hard I'm really struggling because its on the inside near the bottom so its a tight squeeze for my paw.

But its leaving hardened sticky crap all over my window. I just want to ask:

Is it ok for me to wipe a non-tinted section of my window with a rag with some Goof off on it? Thanks.

Yes, perfectly fine, i'd take a straight razorblade to it before the Goo Gone though. Then put some Goo gone on it and let it set so it can penetrate it, then finish her off. ( )

alright cool thanks. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be taking anything else off and discolor my window.

Just be careful not to get the stuff on the dash. If you do, wipe it off quickly with a soft cloth. I'm not sure exactly what solvents are in goof off, but they're probably slightly harsh on the paint on the dash.

Use a razor blade. Then windex to get off the residue.

Goof off, and goo gone work, but be really careful with them around paint, and the dash. They can be nasty.

Alright, thanks for the tip.

And you're the first NWI member that I have found - and you drive an Altima. I'm not alone here, yess.
