Last night I met a guy that had a 240, and he offered me his front lip for 40 bucks. I was just wondering if that was a good deal or not. It has a crack on the passenger side where the hole is, thats pretty much it.now what is a thread with out Pics?

If you think you can fix the crack then it's a great deal. Zenki lips go for upwards of 100, or so I've heard.

How do you fix these things? Mine was cracked into 2 pieces after my accident, but it's a simple snap - they lined up back together quite nicely..

Damn that's a good deal. I payed 4x that for a brand new one. Finding a OEM lip is not an easy find. Can't help you about how to fix the crack, but still worth buying.

I would say you got a great deal because most of those kind of lips can easly be $100 to $150. If it is fiberglass you could just get away with bondoing up the crack.

bondo it y0.

its only like $10 for the kit. Afterwards just sand it and paint it. If it cracks again, just repeat.

bad idea.think about how body filler works..

if you hit something.. anything..you could easily crack the bodyfiller..and since its the lip.. you will prob hit something..

i say skip it and look for another..

fiberglass cold be another option to repair it.

if you could live with the crack. seeing as how it isn't soo so noticableits a good deal.

honestly it's not even that bad...you can't even tell .......well...you can't even tell that it's on the car period actually. but yea 40$ is a steal IMO, mine was 100 local and around 20$ in supplies to get it stripped and painted black and mounted. so 40$ hell you got a steal since it's almost impossible to find someone even selling one.

I think I will use fiberglass to repair it. Wasn't there an article a while back using it as like a speaker template?
