just a lil' info...93 Supra's DID NOT come in a 6speed. they were 5 speeds. i'm about 90% sure of that. unless he had a transmission swap or something, it should be a 5 speed. i don't think it should have a targa top either.

Yes, Rob, weight is one reason the GST is faster than the GSX. The other is parasitic drag in the drivetrain. The FWD wastes a lot less power than the AWD. Obviously the GSX is quicker in a drag race, all other factors being equal due to the superior traction, but that is a non-issue at highway speeds.

Well its definetely a 6 speed, because i drove it, i thought all TT's were 6 speed. but anyways i know this one is, and i dont think it was swapped.

well consider the value of the car, how often they are stolen, the power. i wanted a damn vr4 and the insurance wanted 1600 every 6 months for liability. on a 5600 dollar car!

yes they did, well actually here is the info

93.5-98 Supra = MKIV "aka fourth gen."

Twin Turbos all had 6 speeds, the NA's had 5

Some came in hard top, most in targa top.

either way man, don;t even think about it, take a loan and buy it, you can easily pocket 10-15G's off this even if you can;t afford to keep it, get it before its to late.

a stock 6 speed supra with low k is EXTREMELY rare, i could see that going for 25-30 grand easily, buy it, post it on supraforums.com i garrenty you wouldn't have a problem selling it.

hell i'll finace you the 10 grand, you send me 75% the profit you make selling it :p

It is a good investment opportunity, maybe the best one you will have in your life. tell you parents to loan you the money. Buy it, put it up for sale. I know you sait that if you buy it you wont feel like selling it, but you will feel a lot better about it when you get back twice maybe more than what you payed for it.

You said you have debts, this will help you cover your debts. It will get you cash and it will make you look more business savy in front of your parents.

YOU NEED MONEY TO MAKE MONEY!!

OPPORTUNITY KNOCK ONLY ONCE, BUT TEMPTATION LEANS ON THE DOORBELL.

This is your chance, dont blow it. it wont happen again.

Bro, I was one decision away from buying a stick 1995 NA supra two weeks ago. The dealer was selling it at 10,500, the value of the car. I decided not to becuase of insurance and because i was going to need money to put in to it because it was NA supra and those run low 15s which isn't quite fast. You on the other hand have a chance of buying a TT supra for half the price. I would kill to be in your position right now. RARE CAR!!!

That's because "it's not even a real country anyways".

It may be cheaper, but you have to live in Canada...is it really worth it?....HELL NO.

well it seems everyone here says if u can get ur hands on it, buy it, and sell it and make an easy 15k off of it, i wouldnt mind selling a once in a lifetime car to make 15k, imagine how fast that could mkae ur 24o, or atleast pay off debts so u can put the rest of ur money into ur 24o!!

Before you jump and buy it to resell it, better think about some of this. 1. why isn't your dealership keeping it to resell it. You said they were going to "wholesale" it? That seems odd if the car is pristine.2. why did the doctor decide to get rid of it? Is there something wrong with it? At 60K miles it might need some major maintenance stuff (liike a timing belt or something like that). May want to investigate that.3. As great as Supra's are, they are not cheap to maintain or insure. 4. You'd be assuming a lot of risk by buying to resell. What if it doesn't sell immediately? Most people won't buy a used car from a private party unless they test drive it. To do that means you'd have to register it AND insure it. Are you prepared for that cost?

If you're parents are nixing the deal, you should consider letting that fish go, no matter who good you think it'll taste.Just my $.02

Good luck

The only TT Supra that wasn't a 6-speed was in 96 when Toyota couldn't get the 6 speed transmission approved for OBDII. I believe it was a time issue.
