Clawhammer wrote:You fail to see the point my child. I can make that comparison cause you're gonna get a lot of the same **** with Apexi vs. Megan, personal opinion between brands. And there's lots of stories of Megan's leaking. Although recently I've heard nothing but good about Megans, rewind a year or so and it's a different story. Progress is good.

A guy on z ilvia had Apexi's and Megans back during the whole Megans are rebranded Apexi's controversy and proved they were not even close to the same. His name is slizzooo or something like that go look for it if you're interested. I remember from back when I lurked there and here.

However I've been hearing LOTS of horror stories on their suspension arms. I was planning to get all MR arms but after hearing horror story after horror story of them breaking, holes not being the right size, thread's being to short or going the WRONG way, and crappy welds, I won't be. Check this out:

And that is a short synopsis for whoever asked why people always dog on MR...probably the same person my memory fails me.

See, what did I say? as soon as i posted the email there were arguments...

anyway, its more like a comparison to DELL. Dell makes a lot of stuff, but they also rebrand alot of stuff (a lot of their LCD monitors use the same panels as samsung)The coils are manufactured by BC Racing. The Arms are not. but they all still have the Megan name on them.

Either way, I come in here telling the guy he will be happy with any of the 3 choices. and then people come in and start throwing mud based on opinion used as facts. Like someone said the whole ford and chevy thing, just a matter of opnion... and the schizzo Z ilvia guy? thats also more opinion than "proof" (hey, my dell monitor and my samsung monitor are COMPLETELY different )

@Krazy, the clunking is because they didn't preload the coils before installing.

@ the guy calling me a mudslinger, I've slung no mud. I told him the MR coils have made much progress while the arms are not. While yes two different companies make them for Megan, that tells you something about Megan Quality Control (or lack thereof).

You're right, "proof" was bad word choice. Here:http://www.z ilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=100443He may not be able to do basic arithmetic, but he knows what he's talking about.

And if I have a Samsung and a Dell monitor and one's got a ****tier picture and a slower response time, then I can make the assumption that SOMETHING is different between the two. I've got a Viewsonic 19" LCD sitting right next to a Samsung 19" LCD and I can tell you my Viewsonic is better. That may just be my opinion but I also think Samsung makes a great monitor.

umm...megans are not the same as the top of the line apex'i

theyre the same as the bottom end apex'i that nobody runs that cost around the same as megans

top of the line apex'i are $2,000 coilovers produced in house that are on the same level as zeals or cuscos, not even close to megan

get KTS or stance....period

UMM... i didnt say they were the top of the line apex'i, they are the manufactures top of the line model (they sell their own coils under their own brand name to.)

meh the wording i quoted you on could be taken either way

regardless comparing them to apex'i doesnt mean a thing because that just appeals to the brand whore

its like all these people who run low end tein's, which are crappy, but because tein has a good name from their high end stuff people think their low end stuff will be good too

what you would expect out of the apexi name would be reliability, which hasn't been seen very often in d2/ksports. And because megans are remani'ed apexis, what we would expect is reliability, which hasn't been seen in other megan suspension products. megan coilovers aren't great but they are reliable. this is just my limited understanding of this whole "megan's are apexi" thing
