If you have an 04 with only 15k on it I will give you 16k right now for it. Let me know!

Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. There is not another car built by anyone today that suits me as much as my M does.

SO......being a "gear head" from birth I guess I can find things about any car that I like or dislike.

This decision is very simple. I always wanted a 1966 GTO. You can get a cherry one for around $25-$30,000. The 2004 M45 is a STAR WARS version of a 66 GTO. No real decision here. I use my M45 like I would any muscle car, for enjoyment. If you do the math on the gas its silly to even consider it.If your driving a M45 and worried about the price of gas your just another " nickle/dollar millionaire

Yup.....that's me "a nickle/dollar millionaire". Retired at 55, collecting my pension and driving my M around town going from bank to bank collecting interest on my CD's. Yes, that definately would make me a "nickel/dollar millionaire.

Hopefully today when I go out I can find some cheap gas for my M. Yes, I know I can. If I go to Price Chopper and spend $50 on something I get 10 cents off a gallon at Sunoco. I can spend $250 and get 50 cents off.

That's exactly what I am going to do. Thats why I am a millionaire, nickle/dollar or a $1/$100 one. Thanks for the tip, I can't wait to tell my wife the latest and greatest insult to come from someone on the NICO site. She will get a good laugh too.

You know if you are insulted you don't get it. It seems absurd to own and drive a muscle car and ***** about the price of gas, when in reality gas is a very small part of the cost of the experience

Where did you get the idea I am coming about gas prices as regards the M?

Everyone is complaining about gas prices in general. That applies to all my vechicles, my heating oil and everything else effected by the insane profits the oil companies are making. So what wrong with that?

ummmm, maybe this comment 3 days ago.

and as for complaining about gas prices.. I stop crying back when it was 2.33 per gallon. I'm hoping it gets high enough to where people absolutely(sp) go crazy and start acting like the characters in the movie Road Warriors. That's when we'll know we have a problem. I think we are about .87 cents away from seeing that happen.

OK. Got me!!! But I did say "considering". Consideration is over. I'm not dumping it. I'm with you on road warriors. Surprised there isn't more bootlegging, thievery and violence already. I'm ready. Lets have at it. I think we should start with the big oil executives. And were are our elected officials when we need them? I may not have agreed with President Nixon all the time, but at least he had the guts to put wage and price controls on.

My guess is not since we haven't seen a pic thread.

BTW, my other 45 is a Glock 21. 1911 design just doesn't fit my hand right

"I'm trading this M45 in for something else along with my renault"

So CakeDaddy it seems you are not a true M fan. Or is the quote above from you in error? Just to set the record straight on the Infiniti M or any other model here is a list of other makes that may just offer better handling, performance, luxury or whatever is your preference.

From the latest Road and Track here are some names. Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jag, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes, Rolls, too name a few.

The M is a great car. But lets not go too overboard with how good it really is. There are plenty out there that can take the M to task any day.

If you are going to get hot about this. Conversation is over. I personally want a Bentley or a Rolls. Hope I hit the lotto!!

I think Cake was joking with his quoted statement above.

The whole BMW elitist attitude is what bugs the crap out of many.

BMW specifically marketed their cars starting in the 80's in the US as a status symbol and an icon statement that one has made it. It obviously worked on our superficial society. For that reason alone I won't buy one, and I work with people who buy into that whole spiel. My parking lot is filled with them. I do see them driving other cars a lot more due to their cars being in the shop.

Love my M for the money I paid and wouldn't trade it. It feels good to smoke older (2007 and below, excluding M's) and below BMW's when they paid 30% more.

You are right. The whole BMW/Mercedes thing has turned into too much of a yuppie I have money thing. Most of those fools don't appreciate cars, just the badge that is on them. I know a few of them that want a BMW and I ask why. Their answers generally have nothing to do with the car and its performance. It has to do with their rank and status in life. Too bad. If they think having a BMW or Mercedes badge on their car is going to make them feel better then let them have at it. I have owned them and I am not impressed one single bit. I'll run my M up againist any 3,5 or 7 models unless I see that M badge in front of their model numbers. Then its time to back away and put the "pink slip" back into the filing cabinet.

I wouldn't mess with any x35 BMW having driven my dad's 535xi. It's about as quick as my heavily modified Maxima and the Maxima smokes my M45 with ease.

Thanks. Not too many pick up on the Les Baer 45. The Baer just is quality all over it. Wish I had the money for a Wilson. Just bought a S&W 40. Very nice piece of work. Craftmanship is not equal to the LB, but knock down power is close to the 45 and greater than my 9mm. I also have a Glock in 9mm. Nothing wrong with the Glock, except I can't seem to shoot it well. I know its me. I prefer the Glock as my carry gun.

Recently got a S&W in 50 cal. 10 rounds and I was done. I would take it to bear country, but that's about it. The muzzle blast alone can take out small game and the recoil can break an arm. Its awesome.

As with the cars, there is not a gun I can find something good and/or bad to say about all of them. Love the cars and the guns. Maybe I should just take up golf and whine about my clubs and score everytime I play. No....forget that. Its not going to happen.

As for me, I load up w/a couple of the little blue "bullets" and my discharge and subsequent recoil literally knocks my socks off and leaves my wife breathless and semiconscious..

Oh yeah, give the little blue bullets about 20 minutes and I've got a 63.5 millimeter cannon-much bigger than your 50 cal...

Get your old man to take his little water pistol into his local gunshop and they'll get him the right ammo.

Be careful here. Your eyes might be bigger than your err, stomach...

Baer's are very nice. I carry either my H&K USP 45 sub compact or my Springfield Arms XD 40 sub compact. My favorite girl is my Kimber 1911 Pro CDP II. Just got her 3 months ago and I have never loved a gun so much. She is a beauty!

Here is a pic!

you guys have serious issue!! This thread has gone from "going to check of a 2003 M45" to a GUN SHOW OFF lol.

ok my turn: I'm a Glock 30 man (sub compact 45), can you see it? I have a trunk monkey as well, but he isn't in the picture.

I was clowning around!! And yes there are other car mfg that handle like a dream. I do have a mercedes in the family and it is a dream to drive. Its a 2 door CLK and I love the way it handles and ergonomically(sp), its on point unlike this M. The audio/climate control gets a big C- from me, other than that... this M breaks necks when I roll by or chill at stop lights

Eww eww I see it! Driver floor mat. In my jeep I mounted a holster under the front seat, in the infiniti I haven't looked for a place yet. I was thinking in the door pocket in a holster but not sure. I will have to take a gander.

Boon and CakeDaddy,

Guess cars and guns go together. Love the Kimber. I need to go check one out. They are right up there with Wilson and Les Baer's. The only reason I did not get a Glock in 45 is I already had one. For all around stopping power and just plain fun the 45 is my favorite, although the 40 is close. Final judgement still pending on my part.

I am kind of laughing too how we went from M's to 45's. Where can I get one of those trunk monkies? I saw the video and couldn't stop laughing.

Sorry.....thought you were talking about the video. Now I see what you are talking about. In CT we can carry, but a trunk monkey is a good idea when I leave the state.

It's kinda my fault lol

If it weren't for what I spent on firearms, I would have paid for the M45 in cash

Oh goody- its "I'll show you mine-you show me yours."

I'd show you mine, but then I promised my wife the last time I got that thing out in public and was quickly arrested that I'd keep my gun concealed.

Jim,

When I go out in public with my wife I always keep mine "cocked and locked". That way I can pull it out, do my business, and put it away before anyone can see it.

This is what I love about this forum...although it might be slow at times, it is nevertheless entertaining...Original poster has probably been long gone by now and bought a BMW...meanwhile we have evolved it from cars, to gas prices, to guns, and stuff. And szhosain has probably just sat back and decided not to touch this one. Keep up the good work!!!
