Man, the head bolts on my car....I had a 4' bar (which I commonly refer to as my "torque extender"). I ended up breaking a Snap-on 10mm allen socket before i got them all loose. Luckily, I had two sockets sitting around :) Oh, and I broke a Snap-on breaker bar also during that escapade. But I got them off!! :)

How did you get the broken piece out? Similar thing happened on a cam bearing bolt...broke a brand new Lisle Torx socket (flush to the bolt). I drilled and drilled without much luck. But I guess the drilling loosened it up enough that with a strong magnet it just popped right out.

I had so much torque on it, the broken piece went flying about 30 feet away from the car. I didn't have a problem getting it out LOL

I think "I30" on here one time had to go to a shop to get some help removing one of those so he could install his FTSB. All of them came off fine except for ONE!

Maybe sound like a dumb question, but are you turning the bolts the right way? as in lefty-loosy, righty-tighty

Well, I figured you were, but you never know....sometimes it's hard to figure out the problem for somebody when you don't realize their competence is extremely low (not implying this to you, but others).

Like people who call up computer techs to figure out why their screen went blank when they forgot to plug in the monitor. A tech usually doesn't think to tell the person to plug in their monitor, because it's common sense. Anyway enough of my rambling

The valvoline pentrant is pretty decent as well. I dont like the smell of it though. It smells even worse when it burns off.

Pb doesnt smell funky and works great for me, so I use it.
i had the same issue when i had to reseat my lowering springs on my b12 . i was going to use the strut mount off of my parts gxe and i destroyed 3 sockets and a socket wrench because the struts were retightened with an air wrench. stay away from autozone tools when it comes to suspenion components that havent been touched since your car came off the assembly line.:(
