you failed at 3 different gauges, two of good quality.

logic leads to say that you are either installing wrong or wiring wrong or the sensors are bad/bad location.

I am a person who runs 5 Glowshift gauges, and not a single one of them has given me a single problem or complaint (other then no peak/warning on the model i got)

the gauges work just as they should, the sensors i have used (oil temp and oil press) seem to be working just fine, i am also using your water temp sensor and port with no issues (i've tested the coolant temps with many other "heat guns" and been very close (withen 5 degree's of the GS meter)

the only complaint i have from glowshift is i just ordered there oil cooler sandwich adapter and the advertised "3/8ths NPT for the cooler ports" did not match up anywhere near my 3/8" Summit brand fitting that i am using, but none the less i just had it re-tapped for the summit fitting.

i've actually considered getting the tach/speedometer from GS to finish off the interior. i did how ever use a differant wide band (NGK)

here are a few pics.

not too much of a guy to support low end brand parts but i did a swap for a guy 2 years back and he bought these for his swap and i installed them and they are still going to this day.

I say they are alright, i would not run them but i have witnessed a working product out of them.

and to mr.greeneyes....i read back where dude bashed on your spray job..i followed your build on the coupe, good stuff...Lonismos14- your a tool by all means.

GLOWSHIFT REP:

you have conducted yourself in a super professional manner and have more than taken care of some forum members of ours. i not only recognize but applaud this as most reps are too "about the business" to care. your presence here actually instilled faith that if something were to go wrong our forum members would be taken care of thoroughly and swiftly.

SLIDESTYLE:

thanks man! its been a long, expensive road but well worth it.

NICO GENERAL PUBLIC:

a local, dante, aka brn-n-jpn runs some glowshifts in his dd civic (wideband and water temp i believe) and the wideband works 90% of the time, once lightly tapped, works again. water temp appears to work ok.

how i look at it, assuming youre getting gauges to read engine vitals and not just to look like a johnny-racer, you want to meter critical engine functions. functions that if your gauge were to misread, could cause terrible ill effects on your car. personally that risk is not worth it to me. its obviously your guys' cars and money, but id hope you take some time to think about WHY you NEED the gauges and not how shiny youd like them to be.

Well this thread really is a huge damn mess.

It's really too late for us to come in here and tell GlowShift (or whatever they're called) that they can't sling product unless they're an approved advertiser.

We do this to protect you guys, but this one somehow slipped through the cracks.

We actually HAVE a really good gauge sponsor, who has supported the forums and community for quite some time (www.autotechinteriors.com - sells the STRI gauges).

If I bring this thread into compliance and remove all GS's posts that are clearly hawking product (nice pictures), then I look like a jerk.

If I don't, then I've let them circumvent the rules.

At this point, let's wrap up the conversation.

p.s. GlowShift guy, if you'd been an approved advertiser here, you'd have seen that we bring a TON of traffic to our sponsors everyday, not just a little spike like you saw in Analytics...

p.p.s. Lonismos14 - Any more posts like the ones at the top of this page and you'll take a vacation.
