lol...thanks for the words guys.

removal of the old fabric layer were very easy. with the glove box out of the car, i basically just remove the screws that attaches the back compartment to the front cover. the fabric just came right off with some firm pulls. i used 400-grit sand paper to remove the old foamy substance and to even out the surface.

the matterial i used to cover the box is vinyl--it felt like soft leather, can be purchased at Han**** Fabrics, $12/yrd. the glue i used for the upholstering can be purchased at PepBoys, it's called heavy duty headliner spray on glue.

the camera didn't do it's justice. look just like it came out of the factory; except for the crappy discolored lever. i'm thinking about coloring that with black..hmmm.

Yeah, I'd love to hear how the door panels go. This sounds like a great little project. I ****ing hate that nasty tweed on my doors and glove box.

Very nice work. Might even be worth doing a few and selling them. You'd only need a couple to use as seed and then sell them with a core.

Right does anyone have any information as to when/why Nissan decided that door panels and glove boxes were best decorated with burlap? I always thought that burlap was best used to plant trees, but the 240's interior sure proved me wrong!
