Good luck with your A8. A beautiful looking design, but some reading on the A8 boards convinced me they can't even make a plain gasket last. The labor is the killer. Do get the extended warranty.

And drop back by when you get the chance.

How much do you want for the CD changer? My works for a bit and dies. I unplug it and it might work for 10 min. or a couple days, frustrating. I'll swap out the whole stereo eventually but until I get the time I might want a replacement CD Changer.

Do you happen to have the handset for the built in phone?

my research indicates that most of the problems existant on the earlier A8's have been corrected on the 2007, however, because of the experience with high maintenance cost of the Q I now know that you can pay upfront for a warranty or you can pay at the dealer. We bought a warranty that covers the car for 100K period. Im now 59 and based on the number of miles this car will be driven, it could be my last car....however....i seriously doubt it

i think that $100.00 should do it plus postage which gets you the CD changer, mounting hardware and carpet that surrounds the unit. Email me and let me know. [email protected]

I just found a decent active for sale in Miami.

Check my "My Finds" thread in the General Chat section (not Infiniti General).

It was only like 3k or something, and seemed to be in nice condition.

Ack, I may have misled you, Amy. I see now you have a Q45t. His doesn't look like a t.

ECUs come in a few different versions - traction control or not, 4-wheel steering or not, Federal or California, etc.

You can also locate one through http://www.car-part.com ... not terribly spendy ... sometimes under $50.

(sorry about the partial hijack, DETROITJAZZ)

But, but, but there's a clean looking "texasoil serviced" active for sale on NCIO as of today.

Wes is out of town, so give him a few days to respond, but I may be very interested in the interior, if the buyer of my 94 wants the black interior (was hoping to swap the black interior to Da Beast).

actually Wes asked me about the driver's seat about a month ago when I first decided I would part out this car after I found another one. He has waited paitently, however, unless he dosen't want it, or is out bid, its his seat

Awesome! No rush, just shoot me an email with a price. I'd need it shipped to 32608 if possible.

Hi,

Put me down for:

1) passenger door upper leather panel2) lower dashboard surround-bezel (goes around radio and shift area)3) the little cover thing on the shifter consol--I think it fits over the lockout, its about one inch by 1/4 inch.

Thanks!

Wes, I was telling someone the other day that, it makes more sense for someone that needs an interior, to make a roadrip, rent a uhal trailor on-way, and be done with it. Shipping has to be murder for a entire seat, but as I was taking this one apart, its pretty straight forward to get it done, and seats are just four bolts and a power disconnect/reconnect and its over! You really cannot tell from the pictures because of the size, I have detailed photos to email anyone thats interested in the interior. This is a really nice interior, with the only seat showing signs of real wear is driver seat, which is just slick with no tears and slumping padding. These are heated seats!
