I hated that tire.. Very Noisy and low on grip. Actually the Sumotomos had a lot more grip in the Dry then the Kumho's.
Sumotomos SUCK in the rain though... if you enjoy hydroplaning buy Sumotomos.
I put the Kumho's on last December at 19 k miles because the Goodyear RSA's were down to the wear bars and the car got sideways when it broke traction on the 1-2 shift a couple times
I now have 39k miles on the car and the Kumho's still have just over 1/4 inch of tread left in the center the cornering edges have a little more. I run my tires at 36-38 psi all the time because I go fast frequently.
I went on a trip up north to Sedona in January or February when it was pouring rain so bad I could barely see the car in front of me and the tires never hydroplaned.
I think I probably will try the UHP's next time though because they are $86 for 235/45/17 and the SPT's were $100.
What is the traction rating on the UHP's? The SPT's are 320/aa/a
