Resistance 2 has a mode like thisLocAL_anarchy wrote:It has a new mode called Horde. Wave after wave of enemies. Up to 50 levels from what I understand. It's very addicting. I wish more games would have this type of mode.
Curious. What were your expectations? A game that didn't look and feel like the Gears of War?PTrain wrote:I played the campaign mode yesterday. I wasn't all that impressed. To me it felt pretty much like gow1. The level design also felt very similar, too much browns and greens.
LOL yeah that statement made me chuckle.C-Kwik wrote:Curious. What were your expectations? A game that didn't look and feel like the Gears of War?
Unless you played through the entire campaign (which you didn't, not in one day) there still is plenty more to see. The gameplay and story telling ramps up fast.PTrain wrote:I played the campaign mode yesterday. I wasn't all that impressed. To me it felt pretty much like gow1. It could be done in 1 day. I spent about 10 hours Saturday and 3 hours Sunday to finish the campaign on Hardcore. I started up the campaign on Insane last night and this will probably take a while. Had to replay a lot of parts where we couldn't save each other as we were split up on different paths. Hell, there were numerous times where we weren't split up and couldn't save each other. We also switched the paths we took so were not as familiar with those parts. We also got a bit sidetracked trying to get the melee 30 tickers achievement. Probably not the best idea doing so during an insane campaign though...redtop91 wrote:Unless you played through the entire campaign (which you didn't, not in one day) there still is plenty more to see. Horde is pretty fun in a large group as one can snipe, one can mortar, and others can just be frontline soldiers. I got the achievement for beating all 50 levels a couple of days ago on hardcore (Dont have insane unlocked yet :/ ) with a good strategy and alert teammates it's actually pretty easy. River is by far the best level to play horde on.C-Kwik wrote:
I played some Horde last night. That was fun. Too bad it was only 2 of us. We had to stick together to make sure we can save each other but that left us few good options to use as a stronghold. Let them in too deep and we didn't have much time or space to kill them in. I'm hoping to try it out with more people soon. But that might be a bit iffy right now as our Xbox Live connection keeps going down while we are playing campaign (we use System Link for Co-op at home). Hopefully its not going to be a problem during and XBox Live games.
