i constantly look for a x7 or x6

i love my x8 but it is way too beat to build. it has been rather cheap to drive and is super reliable :) going on three years and 45k and the biggest problem was an alternator!

d!ck did u ever make a thread bout your wagon on here... that makes me super jealous

I can't remember. I'm going to be working on it more now that my X8 is home, which means more pics. I'll make a thread when it's good weather to take it out of the garage again.

Update:

I drove my car home from the shop last night. Went up there with a kit that included:

- jumper cables
- antifreeze
- new fan clutch
- temp steering wheel with non-s*** hub
- assorted wrenches
- $$$$$$

threw the new fan clutch on, breaking the shroud as I went because it was already broken in one place and being a stubborn a**. filled the radiator, did some last minute checks and started it up. ran s*** until warm, need to replace plugs and check coil packs.

it drove perfectly all the way home, but it was getting dark fast and I didn't have any headlights. luckily i brought a couple friends to drive in front and behind me. the ride was super smooth, steering was really responsive and had good feedback, the only thing i need to do is lower the car back down and adjust the damping a little as far as the suspension goes.

it still needs little stuff, i think the biggest thing on my list is getting an exhaust from the downpipe back. it sounded like a dump truck the whole way home.

hurray for dump truck sound! lol. i'm gonna be working a couple more hours, lowering my cell phone plan, and eating out a whole lot less to accommodate the x7 my church member is gonna let me buy from him. i'm supposed to be going to look at it sometime this week, most likely Saturday.

Daaaang son!!! Lol. Loving the stance. Perfect height in my eyes. And you can't beat the stock body + good wheels + lowered combo. That paint looks good, is it still original?

Damn, Chris! That looks fantastic.

Modified enough to make it slick, stock enough to make it a sleeper. Bravo. Well done.

Planning more work?

this is getting to be too easy for me.

engine is out because my clutch fork ate it and i have to pull the whole thing due to lack of clearance in the bellhousing area of the tunnel.

definite plans:
- replace clutch s***
- clean engine bay
- install kouki crossmember
- install new motor mounts
- make brackets for igniter, ps reservoir and fuel filter
- make fog lights work
- wire boost gauge
- install oil pressure s***
- fix intercooler mount
- clean up cut corners during install
- re-roll fenders, maybe a little pull to clear wheels better
- lower

maybes:
- 2jz bottom end
- holset
- real exhaust
- front lip until mark ii bumper is sourced
