If your interested in this then it might not be a bad idea for you to contact them yourself. It wont be a bad thing if they start to feel that there is adequate interest in their product.

It's a really good unit. I've had it installed in my 05 STi, made 427whp @ 19PSI w/ my GT35R setup (93 pump gas tune). It's good for it's basic re-flashing map (stage 1, stage 2, anti-theft, economy, valet mode, etc). If you need it for a custom application (custom tune) it's tough to find people who are really good at using the pro-tuner software to create custom maps for those who need (boost applications, nitrous, etc) but for people who can tune it, it helps with o2 sensor codes (cat-less applications) and other CEL related codes because the tuner can delete the codes from the ECU's memory for the specific map created. Another cool thing was to be able switch real time maps on the go while the base map is the only thing that gets reflashed in the ECU's EEPROM (93 octane tune can switch to a race gas tune without worrying about doing a whole new reflash). Overall i liked it for its daily drivability and it being able to adapt to weather changes being that it piggy backs off the OEM ECU. Just wanted to give me input as a former ACCESSECU user.

I didn't say Cobb wasn't interested...We're actually doing some beta testing with Cobb on other projects and the Altima has already been discussed in our development meetings with them.

You know that Josh and I are always thinking about you guys!!!

Forgive me if I'm interpreting your post wrong, I know a lot of us at times (dealing with products and being in the in's and out's of newer technologies, especially as they cross vehicles, applications and the like) can get ahead of ourselves, especially when it comes to cutting edge-type products like hand-held tuners and the like..

COBB Tuning has been very successful and has employed a vast resource of technical engineers to reverse engineer ECU's (Electronic/Engine Control Units) of popular modified vehicles in the last 5+ years.. Put simply, to certain manufacturers, Subaru especially, and now Nissan (keeping this discussion simple) they have been able to get into the inner workings of current computers driving these vehicles, which control an increasingly-complex engine management system, fuel maps, timing, transmissions, you name it..

Working with them, and goals of enthusiasts, a variety of things can be achieved, including maximizing tuning of aftermarket parts for performance, fuel savings, driveability, etc via the stock ECU.

Not only in a general sense, for stock usage, but theoretically tailored to each and every modification made to a vehicle, through the use of monitoring equipment and dynos, etc. The same could be said to aid in fuel consumption management, in times (in the case of hand-held tuners, with a semi-quick ECU reflash) as close to "on-the-fly" as we've seen possible so far.

As ECU's become increasingly complex, able to account for hundreds if not thousands of variables, having control of the ECU's function in regards to tuning is becoming increasingly effective.
