To: 2007+ Altima 3.5SE owners only who are interested in aftermarket downpipe.

This thread is meant for serious buyers and to get this into production! Please read EVERYTHING in this post.

This exhaust component will replace your pre-cats on each side. It is right after the headers and before the y-pipe. It is a direct bolt-on and will work with your stock or aftermarket exhaust. Installation can be a DIY if you have experience and tools.

Fast Intentions HFC, TP, or Resonated-TP will all be less restrictive than the OEM pre-cats. Thus freeing up your exhaust and increasing power.

More information can be found here: http://fastintentions.com/exha...t.htm

Hi-Flow Cats: Improved with aftermarket cat. Much superior than OEM cats. Improve sound. Picture Example:

Test Pipes: This will eliminate all cats. It will make your exhaust louder and may cause raspiness.

Picture Example:

Resonated Test Pipes: Just like test pipes, but with the added resonator(muffler). It will help reduce noise level and raspiness compared to test pipes.

Picture Example:

Test pipes tend to give the most power, but all will be similar in terms of gains. It is up to buyers preference in what they are looking for. California people would probably consider HFC more because of strict emission laws.

Expected gains: 7-12 WHP/TQ

Price can vary depending which one you will want. HFC being the most because of the cats being costly. Resonated test pipes being in the middle. Test pipes being the cheapest.

BEFORE GOING ON. You will need to ACCEPT that you are willing to pay for one of the following: $250 if you want TEST PIPES, $350 if you want RESONATED TEST PIPES, or $500 if you want HI-FLOW CATS. If you accepted one of those, please continue. If not, please don't continue.

Note: These pricing are just estimates and should be very close in what you would be paying.

Here is what you will need to post. You must respond to all 4 questions or your post will be ignored.1. What is your name or forum name?2. What vehicle do you drive? You must include year and model. Transmision is a plus.3. Which downpipe are you interested in? Hi-Flow Cats, Test Pipes, or Resonated Test Pipes.4. When will you be able to pay? Right now, in 1 month, in 3 months, or in 6 months.

i just have a question about the HFCsnow i know that nissan engineers messed up the original precats as they put them too close to the intake valves, and after about 120 000km or whatever when they fail, particles tend to get sucked into the engine and destroy it. does anyone know if this is an issue with the HFCs as well?

Quick question, with the HFC will it cause a CEL?

Went on site could not find info on Altima, maybe Iam stupid, my biggest question is will the HFC's give a CEL, iam shore the regular test pipes and resonated ones will. Oh and is it 500 for to HFC versions or just one, cause a grand might make me switch from stock to performance whenever I need an Inspection.

They are not in production. I am working with them trying to get these into production. As long as we can get a solid amount of buyers, we will have a good chance that they will go into production.

The price of the HFC includes both sides. This goes for TP and RTP as well.

As far as the CEL light concern, it is not 100% guaranteed. On other applications such as the G or Z, Fast Intentions has been using non foulers with better luck of not throwing the CEL.

Well 500 for two sound really good with the HFC's but if you can find out if the HFC versions will keep the CEL off, I think alot more people will be interested, I am not sure about the VQ but anti foulers never worked on my old Spec V, I just dont think its good 2 drive around with a CEL

This is why R&D is done

If it does throw a CEL(hopefully this will not be the case), of course the downside would be the light. Though it will not affect its performance.

I respect that. If this does go through, Fast Intentions will do its best to make sure that it will not throw the CEL. That is what R&D is for. Personally, I don't mind having the CEL.

Hopefully they'll get it right, my friend's fast intentions equipped G has an awesome tone. Knowing their previous work, I bet they will.

HFC Downpipe+Y-pipe= o.O!

regardless if it goes through, I was wondering if they could hook us up with some titanium tips.

The biggest downside is you will not know if the CEL is coming on for some other reason. Other problem is you won't pass inspection with a CEL on but it shouldn't be that hard to switch back once a year to pass.

Yea thats what Iam saying, if its easy enough I will just switch them back and forth once a year. but the only reason I could see someone buying the HFC's version is to keep the CEL off, cause if it dont then Ill just buy the regular test pipes.

Only interested if there are no engine lights and won't void warranty.

If the HFC does not come with o2 sensor(s) it'll throw a CEL. You could always add an o2 sensor right after the HFC and it shouldn't throw any codes.

I'm currently running a custom fabbed test pipe but plan to weld in a universal high flow and will be doing just that.

If I didn't go custom I would of definitely hopped on this bandwagon!

you don't need new o2 sensors, just put bungs into the downpipes behind the HFC's for the stock sensors, plug the stock ones in and you're good to go. (or if you don't get HFC's, make sure your y-pipe has a large HFC (or the stock one) and put the bungs / o2 sensors behind that cat ... a little bit more work but definitely doable). as long as the ecu determines that there is a difference in data between the pre precat o2 sensor vs the post precat one, and that both readings are varying over time you won't throw the CEL

in the meantime i think i've reached a decision. i really really want these but school is damn expensive lol. maybe i'll just go a month without drinking or somethin hahaha
