i see your point.... i think he meant that foxmarketing is already working on the turbo for the stick shift though.leifab wrote:riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I'll just toddle my @$$ down to so cal...drop my car off for a few months.....and walk back up here to Seattle.
Dude I'm just as excited as you are!!!mcheddadi wrote:I need a turbo emoticon
TUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRBBBBBBBBBBBBBbbbbbbbbb ... errrr..errr.. WAT?! CVT? jk
Funny how anyone would consider gas prices and a small drop in MPG after spending $4k+ on a turbo kit.blancs3030 wrote:how bad would you expect mpg to be after turbo or s/c, with gas getting close to $4 a gallon it might be out of the question for a daily driver.
Ahh, well this is where the aem fic does its magic. All the fuel signals will now be coming from the fic. No over correction by the current engine ecuRobs_altima wrote:
The computer will constantly try to correct the air/fuel mixture by adding more gas. It's unavoidable.
Not at all. We are going to use a boost contoller. Going to tune it for 5psi for daily driving, and 7psi for the track. There are no clear cut answers for the CVT's reliability during forced induction. However, I have heard word from STILLEN and Nissan that lead me to believe rewards outweigh risks for the CVT with forced induction. We do have an agreeement though. If things go horribly wrong, and the CVT does break. They will return it to its stock condition, and I will play it as, I was just driving and it bokeAltiCoupeDriver wrote:Will there be a boost controller?
Also, aren't you afraid of effing up you ride? It being CVT and all.
Lets hope your car doesn't take ten months to get turbo'd.
I wish I had that AEM system when I was boosting. I absolutely can't stand part throttle lean boosting.adidas2go wrote:

Well, considering 90% of the A/C produced are CVT, it would stand to reason it would help more people getting it installed on the CVT. Especially since that company in Texas is doing the 6 speed. There is a huge space difference in the size of the transmissions. If you look in both engine bays, notice the CVT goes all to the way up, under the battery, in the CVT.TheBourneAltimatum wrote:^well probably because its for the CVT? honestly i dont think there should be a difference in fitment between the 6mt and CVT
um we're talking about the 2007+ sedan not the 2002-2006speedforce180 wrote:We have been turbocharging the VQ's and rev-ups since they were released in 2002 so we do have some experience turbocharging these cars.We already have a kit for the sedans but the coupe is somethin we have been wanting to do becasue we feel as though it will be a beter market then the sedan has been.I will try to answer your questions when I can but it looks as though Blake is doing a good job.
