haha the one thing I hate about my coupe is that stupid looking chrome mustache! I know we've all complained about it so much. for me anything paintable without the chrome and without the nissan hamburger in the middle is a keeper! Ive seen the ones that are out now and to me they just dont flow. not sporty at all. Keep us posted!

I'd agree except to bridge the gap at the bottom between the mustaches with the urethane surrounding.

When you guys say "bridge the gap".. do you mean have the urethane surround complete the bottom dip, so the mesh is virtually straight on the bottom edge, where the surround dips down?

More straight across than the first black example posted in this thread, or similar?

If this is made in a nice black finish (not needing paint) you won't be able to make them fast enough!!

Exactly… But to reiterate, have the urethane create one solid boundary around the bumper similar to the G35 posted in the very first entry I created. If you really want more detail, I'd like to see the thickness stay uniform all the way around. Notice how the thickness on the mustaches flare larger as the get closer to the center of the bumper. Bottom line, bridge the gap with one clean line. Money

I'm up in the air on having a urethane piece to "bridge the gap" between the mustache. If there was a piece between the mustache, then there would be a seam on each side where it met the mustache. If there was a way to come up with a piece that seamlessly "bridged the gap" I would be for that. I think the best option would be to get rid of the mustache all together and just have a uniform surround to the whole piece. Just my .02... That being said, I would buy the grill that is p.s.'d on my car above if it were available... I think the one major criteria I'm looking for is a complete replacement, no overlays....

Agreed... This is going to be a very, very popular mod if they get this one right. Even if their final product doesn't tailor to our individual wants, I'm sure in will be solid middle ground for the Altima community.

I think the demand has been here for a long time now, we finally have their attention.

Absolutely what I was thinking.

Get the mustaches out altogether or make a seamless overlay in that area. The only bad thing with an overlay along the mustaches is It would have to flare larger to follow the current lines of the mustaches.

Removing the "mustache" would be the goal, and I think we all seem to be on the same basic page as far as design, and what we at STILLEN had previously discussed internally.

This part would be made of urethane, there would be the need to paint, but the results would be spectacular, and fitment would be perfect.

As I've mentioned, this will be a strong topic of discussion in the next new product meeting, and we'll continue to work out the details, but this thread has definitely opened some eyes, and I again thank you for the participation, and hopefully we can get you what you're looking for quickly.

This is by far the best news that I have heard all day. I really like 2briano,'s PS by Mcheddadi so im real happy. Whatever it looks like I already know ill be buying in within two days of release. I personally like the slant on our grille were the mustache is and the gap is cool, I just want the mustache gone and something very very sporty. I know that Stillen will produce a great product, and I hope that it comes very very soon.

Mcheddadi, that shop looks great, but could you add a little bit of the line at the bottom? Right now it looks like it just fades into the bumper, but I think it would be better if there was a defined line (like the other sides) at the bottom, just like the OP's G35 post.

Pleeeeeeease?

Thanks again Josh, will the splitters be ready for purchasing anytime soon. The reason I ask is because I look forward to buying the grille ( if and when produced) along with the front bumper and splitters at the same time.
