i dunno man(or woman), city driving with moderate traffic sometimes gunning it but never to the floor, and never over 4k. but mixed in with freeway driving i reset the dash and it says i get 20mpg. i filled up a full tank with 16gallons and got 360miles(which equals 22.5mpg). and i have 880 miles. cvt. dark slate. convenience package. stock 16s. not much wind. mostly cruising. cant think of anything else.

* nvm says avg is 23mpg, geez. shoulda got 3.5 not that much of a diff. or an older g coupe, but still got love for the altima coupe

i'm not really sure what your talkin bout but i'm gonna go ahead and throw in that the Altima Coupe doesn't have a 16 gallon tank, it has a 20 gallon tank. the 3 gallon reserve is included in that number.

I was just putting that out there cause I was unclear about the question. Also don't you think that it would have been nice to include a section under the display that told you the current pressure in each tire.

i do. for my birthday i drove a 2008 boxster(cuz everything else was too expensive, 10k deposit for the lambos, 5k for something nicer, and only 2k for the porsche) around and it had tire pressure as you drove which was really cool. thought the altima would have that... unless is there a way for it to pop up?? that would be cool tho

Not sure what's going on with your car but something doesn't add up?I just bought a 3.5 CVT on 5/28 have apprx. 200 + miles on it as we speak. So far I'm getting 24 MPG (City only) not going over 2000 RPM.Looking forward to seeing what I get when car breaks in?

I think you've got something outta wack.. I drive fairly aggressively (accelerate strongly from lights and for passing..) Anyways, I still avg 28mpg mixed driving *shrug*. Worst Ive ever gotten was right after I broke 1k miles and I gunned it at every stop to "test" it out lol, even then it was only down to 25mpg.

i consistently get 24 to 25 mpg, with half and half driving. I use cruise control everywhere I go, it helps out a lot

I use 6th gear A LOT, rarely do I punch it anymore, but I will when provoked or my beeper goes off.

Last road trip was to Detroit to see my Pens get stomped...bummer but I got 520 miles and filled up at 17.818 gal back in O frigin hi o

On the dash display I'm averaging 24.9 on V6 with 6-Spd. That's all driving over the last 2.5 months. Included is around town, freeway at 80 - 90 mph, and traffic sometimes down under 15 mph for an hour at a time. I try to shift at about 3500 rpm in normal conditions, but freeway on ramps usually see red line. And then occassionally I'll take it up into the 5000 range just to hear the intake. I think I calculated it my self one time and I was getting like 26, I think long freeway trips I'm probably pushing 27+ calculated. And I typically run super unleaded, I didn't like the power loss I felt witht he mid-grade, unfortunately that's about $4.37 a gallon right now.

first off on the 2.5 don't run mid-grade or premiun, one your wasting your money becuase you won't get better mileage and two it burns slower so it will leave deposits in your engine (for 3.5 owners your engine is made to run premium and if you run anything else your engine will suffer). You said you were going to take your car to the dealer becuae of your mileage, well heres what they will probably say,

"how many miles do you have on the car? Oh, thats it? well your engine isn't even broke in yet, wait till after your second oil change by then you will be getting better mileage."

And they'd be right, you're not going to see decent mileage till you get some miles on it, everything is new and tight you need it to break in and loosen up, i have a 2.5 w/ a 6spd and the first thousand miles i was barely getting above 20, i was wondering why i sold my jeep (it got 22) but now 5 months and six thousand miles later i'm getting 30, and i'm 22 so you know that i like to accelerate heavily from time to time (every on ramp). So just hang in there it will improve.

I have 19,500 mile on 2.5 CVT. I get average of 27 - 28 with country road/highway driving. So give it some time mileage will change after about 2K. Also ever notice that computer MPG is a couple MPG diff from actual calculation?

BTW just changed to AMSOIL synthetic oil, waiting to see if mileage changes any (hoping so ).

Wow 30 mpg (35 mpg imperial) is really good for the 3.5. I may reconsider the 3.5. I use to have a maxima with the 3.5, loved it, but normally got 30-32 mpg(imperial, 25-26 mpg US).

OMG you guys all LIE!!! How are you guys getting such good milage? I always get between 20-23 mpg on my 3.5 MT. I am not even heavy footed. After a full tank, it starts off at around 25mpg....then slowly adjusts to about 21-22mpg. All the reviews says 3.5 gets 19-20 mpg on the CVT. Am I missing something?

On the highway you should see close to 30 in the 6 M/T at crusing speeds, my ol 350Z got 30 easily ~70-75mph

Pure stop-and-go driving, all surface streets for my 3.5 mile commute - I will get 17-19 mpg in my 3.5 CVT (with fairly moderate throttle). Pure hwy w/cruise control on = 29.6 @ 75 mph and 32.1 @ 70 are my best thus far.

Not sure if this has been answered but on the range display when it hits 0 is that when you get the 2 or 3 gallon reserve or is the reserve calculated into the miles range?? Its been bugging me to find out.

um im gettin 16 mpg ..ON A GOOD DAY.. but i do have a in take which..allows more air volume into the intake...which inturn tells the cpu to spit more fuel to compensate....so icant complain...in nyc it sucks for our gas prices...i loaded up the other day with the middle grade fuel....75 bucks..

There's either something wrong with your car, or something very wrong with your foot

On most city (little bits of highway) I've averaged 9.0L / 100km, and for the people south of the 49th parallel it's approximately 26mpg. By the way, gas prices in Vancouver BC are floating at around $5/gal, so I'd trade with your 4 anyday!

I really dont see how some of you guys with the 3.5 are getting such great gas mileage. I have the 25. and drive 80% of my drive on a freeway, and am averaging 27. which is not bad considering my previous car was a 06 tahoe whihc i averaged 15 mpg's in!!

ok look it all depens on the driving conditions and the way u drive i figured this out bc i live in ny(long island) and my gf is in pa so ive had 2 drive to her twice so far this summer. Anyway the first drive used cruise control and didnt hit traffic on teh bridges(really lucky) and i got like 32.5mpg. Then i stopped in jersey got gas and reset it and i averaged 35.8 mpg on the highway according to the odometer thing and that was going 67 constant speed.

My second trip i took i drove like 80 the whole way sat in a ***** load of traffic, stopped literally on the bridges. And i ended up averaging like 26mpg the whole way. And i got pulled over goin 86 to so u know i wasnt goin slow the whole time....thank god for my badge in my poket lol didnt get the ticket....

Anyway give it time around town the car sucks i get like 22mpg but wen u actually go on the highway and dont floor it everywhere you will get better mpg.

It all depens on if u redline/or go above 4500 and if u do ur gonna use mad gas.
