G37 with 3.5L

im not really familiar with the Infinitis yet and i was wondering if there are G37s with a 3.5L.I was reading the wikipedia and its really confusing because it said that when g37 sedans came out they had a 3.5...and then i looked on another website and it said all have 3.7.In Japan the G35 has a 2.5l,3.0l, and a 3.5l,and the v36 have a 2.5l,3.5l,and 3.7l.Please correct me if im wrong.

g37=3.7L, hence the g37 in the name.

when the V36 first came out there was a G35 with the HR motor(SEDAN). The following year they bored it out to 3.7L but the engine architecture is the same. 2007 & 2008 G35 SEDANS only have the 3.5 HR (and 2007/2008 350Z).

It is pretty simple.

G25 is 2.5
G35 is 3.5
G37 is 3.7

With the sedan they have had the newer HR engine in 07 and 08 with the 2 generation body.

Here is a post with some early engine info. I need to update it with the G25 and G37. Basically, the G37 was introduced in the 2008 Coupe with a 3.7L engine. I believe the 7-speed AUTO came out with the G37...The sedan was still a G35 for that year. In 2009, they introduced the G37 sedan with a 3.7L engine and the 7-speed AUTO (100% sure, I have one). Minor changes from the 2009-2010 sedan, then again minor changes in the 2011 sedan. The introduction to the G25 was in 2011. It's a 2.5L V6...not sure why they didn't go with a turbo 4-banger...

thanks guys.Is it the same thing for japan,because in the wikipedia it says that the g35 has a 2.5 and a 3.0 as well.

I believe it is 2.5, 3.5, 3.7 in Japan also. But the 2.5 is only in the sedan.
