Ha... ok, you took the bait!

While we clearly all like our G's, they aren't perfect. What 1 thing, no matter how trivial, bugs you about the G?

Mine is pretty petty, but I don't like how the coupe's should belt retainer isn't adjustable and constantly lets the belt slip out.

Ready...... go!

And, they are mediocre, over-priced, under-performing, tires to boot.

I absolutely hate how slow the seat moves forward to allow midgets to get in the back seat. I don't own a G, but the few times I have had to deal with it in my buddies G was more than enough. Good thing his girlfriend is so tiny, so I barely have to move the seat forward to let her get behind me.

Yeah, the belt thing is a good one. I used a small amount of duct tape over the gap and stopped the problem. My interior is grey so it doesn't show much.

For me...it's the all orange guages. I know they changed them out on G37 but my 07' G35 should have been the 1st step in changing out the color.

Got me!

I like that.

I would like to see more horses and a ventilated seats. I had a 99 Saab with it. Since that I just miss it. It is really good after hours and hours of driving enen when the weather is not hot. you can use it all year around.

I was also ready to do battle haha.

The only thing that would make me hesitate to do it again is the paint, it chips way to easily. I did a side by side comparison of hoods with a '98 Ford Explorer that is driven year-round in one of the harshest winter seasons in the country in which i found I think 3 chips where as I have almost a dozen in my '06 G that has been on the road for 8 months (stored over the winter). With a '96 Monte Carlo in the same area, still more chips than it.

I also agree with the seats. With the buttons on the sides the speed is good but the buttons on the back should supercharge those seats to go back and forth.

Spare tire/wheel could match the rest of the wheels although I realize that's somewhat impossible because front/back isn't the same.

A standard industry size for the CD player could be used and its screen could have been much better.

I think 350 HP stock would be good, but more available torque out of it would be sweet.

A semi-automatic transmission would be f'in sweet, too, with a couple more gears say 7 on the manuals/semi-autos, 6 on the autos.

I've never had an issue with the seatbelt clip.

However, here's my gripes:

The drivers' side seatbelt clip rubs on the top of the seat and squeaks.

The passenger side seatbelt, with windows down and no passenger, rattles against the door panel.

The drivers' door closes on its own - the detents aren't "deep" enough to hold it open.

The drivers' side seatbelt buckle occasionally will "turn" when closing the door (not lay flat) so it gets pinched between the door and the deat, and leaves a "ding" in the door panel. Grr.

Orange gauge lightnig sucks.

The center stack instrumentation sucks - I STILL have to look at the HVAC buttons to adjust them, they're not intuitive.

The audio system is garbage. I rented a Cobalt that had a better-sounding system. Bleh.

No console armrest. Lame.

The center console paint scratches too easily.

Seat design sucks for long trips, my R leg goes to sleep.

More power would be nice, but for such an amazing car, the interior and creature comforts are just awful.

-Paint chips too easily, rims scratch easily-Speakers suck - I have Bose-The positioning of all the buttons for music-Seatbelt position on the neck-No automatic control for putting the seat back-Air condition smell when its hot out

Other than that..totally love my car.

Damn dood.... I said ONE! You are starting to make me think that they DO suck!

Oh yeah, and as someone mentioned.... the freaking 19's. I love 'em, but freaking easy as hell to chip! I only have 5k miles on my G and they all have little chips and flaws.... and in a couple places nice strawberries!

Most complaints are minor. They changed the seat belt design in 06...probably to stop the squeaking problem...(Greg, I just put on a velcro patch on the seat...got sooo sick of it!)

Yes the seatbelt gets hit by the door...yes it rubs against your neck...and yes, the seats are really slow. But again, these are minor gripes.

The audio however, is major. You're going to want an external sub setup...at a min!

But even with all of the bad, it's still an amazing car! The handling is top-notch for it's price. Power could always be higher...but the VQ is a terrific engine.

1- No caller ID on dashboard when using Bluetooth. Acura TL has it!2- Factory Sirius Radio does not scroll channel number, song title, and artist like the much cheaper portable Sirius Sportster does.3- Flimsy oil dipstick.

I'm just curious if the people complaining about how terrible the sound is have the Bose system. People have always been surprised my system is OEM. I'm not giving my high accolades to my system (non-Bose), but Bose has never really had a good automotive sound system, which was 1 of 2 reasons I opted out of that option (2nd reason was that I always upgrade my sound system).

Everyone is complaining...but let me list some fixes for your G35 woes:

1. Clutch sticky, short engagement areaFIX: Adjust the turnbuckle on the clutch pedal Clutch Adjustment

2. Clutch sticks to the floor when you drop it at high revs.FIX: Replace your nasty clutch fluid with good synthetic DOT4. Clutch fluid change

3. Stereo sounds like crap.FIX: Replace speakers with better sounding ones. Stereo fix or install an aftermarket amp/sub.

4. Paint chipsFIX: install a clear bra

5. Seat belt holder squeaks, rubs your neck.FIX: put some velcro on the seat, get a seat belt pad.

Some things we just have to live with...oil dipstick, no hood shocks, REV light, door not staying open...to name a few.

The sound system in mine is fine. I listen to Howard Stern until my wife starts screaming she can't take it any more

Although that is a simple solution, auto paint this day in age shouldn't be like this, period, on any vehicle. And its not just the paint, it's the clear coat as well that is too soft. It is vital in protecting the panels from oxidation. Paint like this is something I would expect on a Chevy Aveo or a Kia. With a clear bra your paint is dull and not as reflective.

Based on my experiences after having my G35S sedan for about 2 weeks now, I find the following details that could use improvement:

1) 5 speed auto doesn't cut it, Nissan needs to step up with a 6 speed

2) What's with the Sentra level door panels and speaker grills? They ponied up and did the dash and center stack right but forgot to keep going and fix the door panels.

3) Cup holder isn't deep enough and has a cheapo plastic cover.

4) Sideview mirror design is too chunky, doesn't match with the exterior lines of the car. 2 of my other cars have great looking side mirrors, G35 could have better ones.

5) Paint chips easily, 1 chip already, going to have to get a clear bra soon I think.

6) Why no option for factory 19's on the sedan? Might have to grab a set of the M45 Sport wheels and bolt them on.

Don't get me wrong I love the look of the car and it drives quite nicely. Plus, you can't beat the bang for the buck with these vehicles. I love what they did with the revisions for '07, just a few things to tweak for their next revision in another 4 years.

Cheers!

Well I really cant say I have much complaints about my car because I love in love with her the first say I saw my "Black Pearl" lol..the only thing I hate with the car is when I am trying to put the windows a lil down, the whole thing goes down and I have to do the process back in forth until it stops and allows me to control it. Yea the air conditioner smells like crap once it starts up, but I always let me window open for the 1st minute to let the nasty @ss smell out. I am going to wait and see what they have to offer in 2009 for an upgrade..hopefully 350+ HP..
