Could not said it better then my SVT friend.SVTCOBRA wrote:I would see what the best deal is on a new G35.Then, I would check the deals on one with 25K or less miles.See what the difference would be in payments.I would rather have a slightly used G35 than an Altima. I agree 150% Don't buy a brand new car that you don't really want. That is a SERIOUS waste of hard earned $$$. Or seriously shop for an 05+ G35... there are decent deals out there and some are in excellent shape and practically brand new. The 07 should have great deals going on because the G37's came in.champagneG35 wrote: I say beater cause if you get a new car that you don't really want you'll be stuck with a much newer something you don't want for alot longer and lose more money on it.

^^^^^^ excellent advice!
By what you just said you're going to regret it later on when you can afford it. If you're considering the 2 of them you can't be that far off from affording the G35. I'm not trying to push it on you because it's a G35 and I own one or anything, it's just I see you how should I say "settling" for the Altima. I know you said you love both cars but right after you said "just rather have a G". Yes you can still live if you get the Altima but is that how you really want to feel. All I'm saying is if you want one more than the other then get the one you want more unless you know you'll never be able to afford it even if you save up for a little bit to make a larger down payment and get the payments lower.VQmaniaq wrote:I think due to my financial situation i'll end up with the altima coupe, which isnt bad, just rather the G...i guess i can still live..
I agree with picking a slightly used G, but I think he's looking for that new car smell.etschell wrote:don't buy a new altima coupe, it is a waste of money and depreciation...
you can get a g35 2004-2005 coupe for cheaper with around 30k miles.
Then he needs this if he buys used!SVTCOBRA wrote:

Sounds like he's "been there - done that", so something to consider.ArEs23x wrote:Yea I definitely agree.. The Infinity's have a better resale value IMO... when I bought my Altima I lost a lot of money like a fool when I traded it in..not worth the hassle

Sucks. Something I learned from a friend of mine. You can actually have your insurance company buy a like vehicle as the one you lost, ie: color options etc. in lieu of the check. Might be something to check out if they aren't offering you that much.VQmaniaq wrote:i thank you all for your responses, but now i'm not even getting a 3.5se altima coupe or a g35 used or new. turns out i got less out of my totaled wreck, i'll either have to get like a civic or a altima coupe 2.5s, and i'll be fine with any, i just need me 4 wheels to get me from one place to the next. And with the whole G thing its all about what i want, not what i need. If i thought i wouldve gotten a 3.5se altima coupe i probably would've opted for the used G with like 10-20k miles on it, but seeing as how my insurance only gave me so little, i'm out of options for good now. I HATE ACCIDENTS...
