Can anyone tell me where is the best place to purchace an OEM flywheel for my 2003 G35 Coupe. I would like to stay with the factory dual mass flywheel but the prices I see so far are pretty high.

I am looking to replace the flywheel because the clutch disk was worn extremly thin. The car also has 120K mi. on it.

Hmm.

Did the clutch actually damage the flywheel?

Unless the rivets actually ground into the mating surface, you should be fine. Just bring it to a clutch/driveshaft shop, and have them machine it. It will cost like $20, and will make it good as new.

The rivits did get ground down. Can you resurface a dual mass flywheel? How do they mount it into the lathe?

AFAIK dual mass flywheels turn the same way as regular flywheels. Ive never had to do a Infiniti flywheel, but I have had Subaru dual mass flywheels turned. But if you grooved the mating surface with the rivets, then its likely destroyed, but its worth a shot.

I would call up your local driveshaft/u joint shop. If you have a Proven Force near you, I have always had really good luck with them.
