Here are a couple of threads covering the subject:

Get to know the search function here. Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. I used "wheels offset" for search terms, in "Infiniti Q45 Forum", checked the box for "post bodies" (meaning to look in the posts, not just the titles) and checked "recent content".

There are a dozen or more Nissan/Infiniti wheels that will fit with no trouble.

YOu can plan on any Nissan or Infiniti wheel fitting the lug pattern (or, nearly any)... the problem is, as you mention, the offset.

Here is a handy tool to let you know what will fit and what won't...http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp

It took me A LONG TIME and a lot of reading before I started to figure out how the whole offset vs. wheel width thing worked. I think the generally regarded "ideal" for the early G50 is a wheel of roughly 8" width on the wheel and roughly 35 on the offset. There is a great deal of flexibility in those numbers though.

Last year I bought the Nissan Murano (2003-2005) wheels (5 spoke) and ran those on my 91 and I thought they looked great. They were 7.5" width and 35 offset.

Keep an eye on ebay... you can find some swell deals if you are willing to wait.

Virtually any G35, 350Z, Q45 and M45 before 2005 will work. If you find some just post up to double check.

my car in sig. 2003 G35 18's. Fits great. Looks great to (IMO)

Stock tires that come on them do not meet proper load ratings for the Q45 though. So its a good idea to replace them if the wheels come with them.

Soeme additional information.

I've had 17" G35 coupe, 17" 350 Z base model, 18" 350Z Track/Rays and 18" Murano wheels on my car.

I like the way the 350z Track/Rays (the newer ones) look... but, man, those things look like they NEED a huge set of brakes in there to fill them out. Stock Q brakes look a little puny sitting in there.

I've always liked the way Wes' 350z wheels looked...and now he is selling those.

The M45 wheels look good to me as well...in fact, the 2005 M45 whees are what will be going on the Green Q this summer.

I may volunteer myself to guinea pig my Silver Q for the FX45 wheels this coming summer. I'm not sure how the fit will work and if there is a decent 20" tire that will be ok on load ratings. But, it might be worth tinkering with.

Before you do, let me send you a picture of a beautiful plum t with 20s. Looks like a roller skate on caster wheels. Truly bad.

Yikes... that's not good. I've seen two Y33's with the FX 20's and they looked good. But, the G50 may not dress up in quite the same way.

Did the one you saw with the 20's have the FX wheels...or, was it some chrome? Bling frightens me.

Wheels were OK, just not on the G50. Think they were 245/35-20 tires.

I'll look up your email.

I personally think 20" wheels on a G50 are a bit much, but to each his/her own.

They do look good on a Y33, but there's one with too little rubber and it looks funny?!?

If I try it on my Q it will be based on me getting a hell of a deal on the wheels...since budget is a major concern. I figure that if I take my time and shop them correctly I can pick up a good deal and throw them on the Q...if they look good then I'm ahead. If they look too over the top, then I'll just toss them on eBay and get my money back out of them.

Can't hurt...if I do it right.

Not to further hijack this thread, but there's some GREAT wheels on tirerack right now that would offer us Q45 guys forged wheels for a steal.

Exempli gratia, please?

TR thinks 8.5x18 are the maximum and 18x7 is just dandy in their standard fitment. Best clus is derived from cruising their 1996 300ZXTT and 2003 M45 fitments and extrapolating.

Some of the wedsports are. And I have test fitted the 18x9-18 OZ +35mm, but only stationary on the front.

The data I have for the RGR says the 18x9 are +42mm and more expensive at about $670. Could you link to that page you cited?

Also, found Rays RE30 are forged 18x9 +35mm.

I find it nearly impossible to link to any TR "session results" . So I made a screen shot.

Try clicking this ^

Note the rear wheel listing.

So, you feel a 18x9 +35 will fit (inside clearance)?

Also, here's a down and dirty 'chop of the SSR's on a G50

Not sure if I like this, though good 17" tires are becoming less available.

as for brakes to fill out the larger wheels, I'm working on that. I've got some 13" mustang cobra rotors coming and I'm going to make brackets to mount the stock Q caliper further out to accomodate them. They're 1.1" thick so the caliper should fit nicely (may need a little grinding done on the ends of the caliper to get the caliper to fit really snug down on the rotor. Other than that, I just need some hub centric rings to center the rotor on the hub. Q hub is 66.1mm and mustang is 70.5. I'll probably just get some .085" sheet stock, cut it in small lengths, and wrap that around the hub between the rotor and hub opening. Anyway, should be a nice cheap way of getting 13" front brakes.

How did you search for that? Do they have them in silver also?

Yeah, plenty of clearance to the inside, but close to the fender with OEM springs and 255x40-18.

Those come up as a rear fitment ofr the 1995 Q45, but I also use 2003 G35 6 Speed base Coupe.

Nope on silver, but they do have them in the 2 piece 19x8.5 +38 with a silver/machined lip for $399.

Tricky! Glad to see TR is getting less retarded about G50 wheel fitment. Rather late in the game, wouldn't you say?

All V35 coupe stuff I saw was +25mm offset and 19" or 20".

EDIT: That pricing seems screwy as they have the same rear wheel at $689 and special order right next to it. Wonder how Diamond Black wheels would look on a DJ2 t? Hmmmm.....

Maybe I'm confused, but yes there is a Silver version, it's just not on "Closeout" ... I know that seems crazy, but if you want the $369 pricing, you have to get the Black Diamond color.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger. I'm just concerned about clearance on the front with 255 and lowering Eibach springs.

1.) That's what I was saying. But when paired with the 18x7.5 or 18x8 front wheels (the two to the tight of the special pricing), they become $689 and special order.

2.) Maybe we should consult via email or phone.

The same RGR 18x9 +42 in Black Diamond is $689 ... go figure??

I know they're a touch tall (3%), but the 245/45 Dunlop Maxx is a good tire for $121 each.
