Before you do, let me send you a picture of a beautiful plum t with 20s. Looks like a roller skate on caster wheels. Truly bad.ceningolmo wrote:I may volunteer myself to guinea pig my Silver Q for the FX45 wheels this coming summer. I'm not sure how the fit will work and if there is a decent 20" tire that will be ok on load ratings. But, it might be worth tinkering with.
Exempli gratia, please?Rex wrote:Not to further hijack this thread, but there's some GREAT wheels on tirerack right now that would offer us Q45 guys forged wheels for a steal.
Sorry for the delayed response ...maxnix wrote:Exempli gratia, please?
TR thinks 8.5x18 are the maximum and 18x7 is just dandy in their standard fitment. Best clus is derived from cruising their 1996 300ZXTT and 2003 M45 fitments and extrapolating.
Some of the wedsports are. And I have test fitted the 18x9-18 OZ +35mm, but only stationary on the front.Rex wrote:Brian - you did test fit 18x9 +35's on a G50, right?
There are Forged
BBS RGR 18x9 +35 (19.0 lbs) for $369.
Gravity CastWedsSport TC-0005 17x8 +32 (15.4 lbs) $179WedsSport TC-0005 17x8.5 +38 (16.5 lbs) $259WedsSport TC-0005 18x8.5 +32 (19.0 lbs) $312WedsSport TC-0005 18x9 +38 (19.5 lbs) $329WedsSport TC-0005 18x10 +44 (19.0 lbs) $349
I also use 2003 G35 6 Speed base Coupe to find more options ... I have to check, but I'm pretty sure the WedsSports are rated to support 690kgs.
How did you search for that? Do they have them in silver also?Rex wrote:I find it nearly impossible to link to any TR "session results" . So I made a screen shot.

Note the rear wheel listing.
So, you feel a 18x9 +35 will fit (inside clearance)?
Those come up as a rear fitment ofr the 1995 Q45, but I also use 2003 G35 6 Speed base Coupe.maxnix wrote:How did you search for that? Do they have them in silver also?
Yeah, plenty of clearance to the inside, but close to the fender with OEM springs and 255x45-18.
Tricky! Glad to see TR is getting less retarded about G50 wheel fitment. Rather late in the game, wouldn't you say?Rex wrote:Those come up as a rear fitment ofr the 1995 Q45, but I also use 2003 G35 6 Speed base Coupe.
I only see the Silver in +42 at that pricing.maxnix wrote: ...EDIT: That pricing seems screwy as they have the same rear wheel at $689 and special order right next to it. Wonder how Diamond Black wheels would look on a DJ2 t? Hmmmm.....

1.) That's what I was saying. But when paired with the 18x7.5 or 18x8 front wheels (the two to the tight of the special pricing), they become $689 and special order.Rex wrote:1.) Maybe I'm confused, but yes there is a Silver version, it's just not on "Closeout" ... I know that seems crazy, but if you want the $369 pricing, you have to get the Black Diamond color.
2.) I'm very close to pulling the trigger. I'm just concerned about clearance on the front with 255 and lowering Eibach springs.
