I have a 2004 FX35 2wd looking to replace the transmission due to internal failure. Production date shows 12/04 on the sticker and I'm looking at a decent price on a 2004 G35 transmission.
I was wondering if these part can be used on the FX series. I got the part off car-parts.com and it gives me the option of "from 10/03" and "thru 09/03". I chose the option "from 10/03" and located the transmission. Are there any difference? Also, I should be choosing from 10/03 correct? Thanks for any help

You used the correct date, but it's hard to say if the FX and G transmissions are identacle. It wouldn't surprise me if they were, and Car-part.com's interchange software is pretty good, so I'd probably go with it, if it were me.

They will bolt up but the gearing is different. Also they are tuned differently so they will bolt up but you will have lights on your dash and the car may not even start because of the electronics. I would say stay with the FX transmission of similar year.
