I saw somewhere and can't seem to find where..... .....There was mention of a company OTHER than Stillen that does a valve body upgrade. Thanks for any help.

There are a lot of different companies that have valve body upgrades, Stillen, SFR, Z1 Motorsports, GTMotorsports just to name a few. Just need to look. Most are about the same price $600-$900.

Has anyone with a 5AT performed this upgrade? If so, please let us know the results. I am interested in the valve body upgrade in conjunction with the paddle shifter kit. If the car still shifts with noticeable lag in auto-tragic after the valve body upgrade then I'll probably take a pass.

I keep hearing this is a $5k upgrade in California. Isn't there somewhere local that can do the same thing for less around Kenosha WI? Anybody know without googling?

I have done a forged performance vb when they were selling them. The difference is like night and day.....in mm mode and getting on it this things shifts fast and hard.I can chirp the 1-2,2-3 and sometimes the 3-4 shift and when i get on it with the twin turbos i will actually spin between shifts.

When driving it normally it still shifts smooth but it is much faster then stock but get on it and whatch out. This is one of the best mods i have done to my car.....and btw do not get the stillen.

The stillen vb does almost nothing better then stock and i have driven a z with the stillen and it was hardly any better.I would get either a sgp or gtm vb as theirs are the best in the bussiness and you will def feel the difference unlike the stillen.

I supercharged my car back in august of 2003 with the stillen and then in june of 2006 went with the greddy twins. The only reason i did the valve body was when running at the track the rpms would climb so fast with the turbos that i would shift and still it the rev limiter all the time.I then decided to do the vb and now i can shift at 6000 rpms and it will shift instantly and not hit the rev limiter anymore.

What does the acronyms' sgp or gtm vb stand for and do you recommend this for a super charged vehicle. I to keep redlining in the tiptronic mode? So I would love to know these options.

Just got my kit today from gtm, the transgo reprogrammer. Will post results and maybe some before and after clips of the diff in shift. Will try to post a diy article about the kit install if I am able to install myself.

Its just a shift kit, I guess they just wanted a special name for it. I tried to find it cheaper from a dealer but it is closed out to the public at this time......GTM must have an exclusive deal with Transgo right now, they are the only ones selling it.

Logan (Cheapazz)

Did you install the VB transgo reprogrammer?

Curious to see how it went and how difficult it was.

VIVEK.........come on.....really???? ONLY THE AT HAS A VALVE BODY!! Put down the bong and step back slowly.

My plan is to do the install after the weather gets better here so I can ride my bike if I run into any problems.....so prob. early this summer or late spring. I could take it to someone to get installed but I like to know my vehicles and enjoy helping them get through this life. Plus its cheaper to diy. Happy motoring
