What would be the difference between the Transgo Valvebody upgrade (Transgo reprogrammer) and the GTM Valvebody upgrade?

They both promise better performance, but theres a huge price difference.

The transgo reprogrammer is a kit of springs and stuff for the install.

The GTM upgrade is an installation of this kit as well as a few other tweaks.

So would it actually be worth while to get the reprogrammer kit? Does it actually make a significant difference?

the reprogrammer kit would make a pretty big difference in your shifts. But, unless you are very mechanical I doubt you'd like the install. Its a tough one.

Well I wouldn't be attempting the install myself, not for something like that(as fun as it looks). I'm just wondering if the price + price to have installed would be worth it, or if it would be better to just go with the other option.

If you go FI and have 5AT then this is a must. If you plan to stay NA then this would be one of the last things I'd get.

Even if you have the ability to take the VB out of the car yourself, you are stilling sending it in and paying $800 or so for the upgrade. You wouldn't drive your car until it was done.

All in all, its a great mod but not cheap. Most people won't do it for the cost.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on staying NA, so i'll put this on the back burner for now.

Props to tollboothwilley for being the fountain of information for me this week (and other weeks, but just more so this week) thanks!
