the other alternative would be to swap the new SER 2.5l into the G20t. essentially making it a G25t, which is what Nissan should have done for 2003. then turbo it!

Stay away from the QR25. It's junk, and is not going to hold near the boost that the SR20 will. Not to mention, you would have to custom fab quite a bit of stuff to get the QR25 to fit. It could be done, but it wouldn't be easy.

Yeah and I have a Spec V now so Id rather go with something new to me.I like the QR25DE even though its not really boostable.I drove a WRX the other day and it does not feel as strong as my Spec V?Its real smooth,I guess the AWD doesnt have much torque steer which makes it not feel as powerfull.LOL

believe it or not, when SCC dynod both the WRX and the SE-R, they were very dperessed with the results of the WRX, they only got a measly 145hp and 147tq out of it (although some tuners claim 16o ish stock) and the SE-R got 148hp and 151 tq

Yeah Torry has had some trouble out of his Spec V.Mostly it seams to me that the major thing that sucked was just how Nissan screwed him due to that warranty. The things that happend to the QR would have been the same no matter what block.

well what about ur spec v, any problems such as torry's that uve experienced??, and also, i know 4wd loses a lot of hp, however, for a car that has 4o more than a spec v, to only get just as much, or maybe 5 more at the wheels, no way

I have had no problems out of mine at all.Im very happy with its performance.I do wish I spent the extra dough to get the leather on my seats though. The lava cloth looks good but is sort of itchy in the summer if you have a tank top or no shirt on.

the t stands for "touring"... its a model designation done by infiniti, there's a t model for most infinitis...

the "t"s for touring. If you look at some of the Infiniti's out on the roads you'll notice a I30t J30t and so on.I'm not too sure what extras the G20t gets over the G20.Most likely leather is standard and I believe that the suspension is set up diff.??

The questuon is what turbo should I put on one.HeHe

i know the T in most of the infiniti, i just havent seen them on the g2o, i knew hte g2o had an sr2o, so i figured maybe he slapped a turbo on that mug, but apparently not, anyway, yes i know the g2o doesnt come with a stock turbo, i thought he turbo'd it

Ha ha! no, the G20t isn't turbo'd. i wish i had the funds to tinker with it, but the MGs keep me busy enough. besides, the wife drives the G20t. she drives fast enough as it is!

as for options, the "t" designation gets you a couple things:

leather, power moonroof, rear spoiler, fog lights, limited slip differential, sportier tire/wheel combo, and *slightly* stiffer shocks.

it costs about $1000 more than the luxury package on a regular G20, but i think the spoiler actually completes the car and the LSD is DEFINITELY worth it. especially if a turbo was in the future.

the only thing i don't like about the car is the automatic. i wish we had gotten a 5 spd.

also, FWIW, the 2002 G20's did not use the "t" designation. they use "Sport" instead. the included options are similar, but the 15" wheels were replaced with a new 16" design. And the seats get a perforated leather/alcantra surface instead of plain leather. And alum sill plates instead of plastic.

thanks! i spend about an hour/week for each car. i hate dirty cars. (part of the reason why i can't stand living in New England.)

and i only use Zaino products now. I AM A ZAINO-AHOLIC! nothing compares.

Yeah, I drove a 5spd blue 2002 g20 sport at the dealer on a test drive. I loved everything about that car....except the price tag. It was actually my friend who was looking for a new car....he ended up buying a 99 contour SVT for roughly half the price. His logic was "well, I have a car now that is a little quicker than the G20, and now I have $12000 more to spend towards mods." I didn't like the contour at first, but they grow on you. Especially when you start modding them.

i love my SVT. i have wanted one for a couple years now and i finally found one last May for a good price. the truth is that for about 10 grand, you can buy a serious performance car with lots of mod potential and handling that is far better than the Inifiniti.

owning a Ford has its issues, but if you maintain the car properly and set it up for your driving style, it just keeps on giving.

tell your bud to check out http://www.contour.org if he hasn't already.

Yeah, he's been there numerous times. He actually doesn't have the car anymore. He has since sold it to his parents, and he moved to Spain. But his parents own it now, so I still see it on occasion.

But yeah, my friend read up all about contours and stuff when he owned it, got me into them, so I actually know about them fairly well (more so than the average guy anyway).

He just told me one day that he was moving to Spain. I asked why, and he said "why not?" So he moved there in september.

I'm actually going to see him tommorrow, he's meeting me at the Tokyo airport.

For real Torry,Have fun and take lots of pics.I have got the go-a-head from my credit union on the G20t.I found a 1999 with 55k miles on it.Now im just waiting on a price quote form After Dark tuning to see if im for sure going to go through with it???*Hint*Hint*I need a parts list with prices on everything that I will need to add the "hairdryer".I was also wondering if you guys would be interested in making it a "project car" to advertise with?Ill be at most of the East coast NICO show/meets and more.I know ill need to upgrade my wheel/tire,brakes,and suspension so I was thinking about adding all that in with the turbo/motor mods and just paying you a lump sum??So what you think? If all goes well maby I can drop the G20 off at the shop when you have your meet and get a ride back with someone?N E Way....E-mail me if it sounds like something we can work out..Or just post herePlease. Thanks Dane

Man, right now our main concern is getting our engines here.

And honestly, we don't need any additional adverstising....our phone rings off the hook as it is. But we'll definitely let you know if we are looking for anybody. You're up near the top of the list.

I here ya.Keep me in mind.So does that mean that you two dont want to do the turbo/motor, suspension mods?Or that you dont want to make the G20 an After Dark project car?Or both?LOL Im a bit confused? I understand if you dont want to get into it I just need to know so I can start looking for a good place to take it to.
