How much do the G20t's go for anyhow? I've always loved the way they look, especially the front end. I'm surprised not a lot of people have em on this forum...

I dont know how much they are selling for,I havnt found any for sale.(I havnt looked a bunch yet)Most of the G20 drivers Ive met are in there 40's.I like the styling of them also.not to mention the leather and wood grain trim. Then throw a turbo on it or swap the whole motor for a JDM SR.

g's can be had pretty cheap if you hunt for a 1991 , mine was a 96 id exect to pay 2500 for a decent 1991 g20 , dets go in real easy , i reccomeded buy from me on it , very relible , just not so good on roll over procetion , im one of the few people in the contry that filpped one on its lid and walked away , most are paralized or dead

i might hunt for one but a cage goes in before my turbo (still in closet )

91-93 these are low port sr20s with the more aggressive cams , also easier to put in 370cc injectors or whatever you want to run if you want to reatin the engine but put a turbo kit on , the 91-92s are stiffer sprung ,lighter by only a few pounds , you can tell easily by the lack of chrome door handles and grey/black bottom cladding brushed versions of the 91 wheels are appering and become standard issue later ,a pulsar gtir ecu will be plug in play witht is car , wont be with a obd2 car , nice if you want to run a full on gtir setup ,

93-95 these are first of the sceond P-10 chassis , you get T models now as cutomers didnt like stiffer springs , to get the old suspesnion you have to get a t , chrome door handles apper , and a diffrent grill , still has grey bottom till 95 these also use a high port sr20 , i hate this manifold and cam conifguration ,dual airbags take over for the mad mouse safety belts

96 , these are obd2 computer cars , last of the G20s till 99s mulitlink beam p-11 chassis g20 no grey bottoms , this is what mine was , looks like stereo conntectors changed for this year only

looks like the upper links in the front are quite a problem, my right side one broke the night beofre the crash , was going to order new ones that night , it might have also contributed to the crash also , well never know as i couldnt bend down to look at them , was in too much pain to inspect the car

if you pick up a G and want to turbo it i can sell you my kit , it was never installed on my car , it was going into the garage that weekkend to start the process

have lowering springs,struts ,91 cams ,2 300zxtt intercoolers

the turbo kit is from a 91 bluebird sss , t25 turbo ,370cc injectors ,ex manifold and other peices includeing a downpipe from avenir , all this came from jgycustoms.com

anyway let me know when you get one and can send 1200 my way if you want it , ill send everything to you for that price and if im in florida ill pay 1/2 shipping

Wow!Thanks for all the info.Didn't the body style changed somewhat durring those years also? The 93's and up got a grill I think.Which would you recomend.I was thinking about looking into the 96's due to the solid color and lower miles. Also in your opinion am I better off to add a Turbo to a low milage one or just do a baught SR20DET swap?

id buy the 900 dollar det pulsar longblock JGY has and put my turbo kit on it , thatd be faily cheap , or just go all out and get a whole unit from him

stock low milage should be good for around 8 psi of boost , run into detonation issues above that on its 9.5:1 compression , not to mentiont he lack of oil jets to cool the pistons off

minor stuff changed after 93

grille chrome door handles interor got alot beatter (dash door panles seats stering wheel)) solid color

the 94+ looks tons beatter but for a performer id go with a early car

JUST DONT ROLL THE DAMN THING IT SUCKS!!!!!!

good to be here! i may be looking at some very subtle mods this summer, and freshalloy.com hasn't been very helpful. so, i was told to come here.

looking at the following:fixing the trunk mounted amp rattlewiring the foggies to come on with corner lightsexhaustrear seat heaters and/or power passenger seat.

let me know if you have any How-To's on these!

Baco:

You should post those questiosn seperately on the subject forums.

For example the amp question in our stereo sectionThe foggies exhaust, seats in Infinti General

Then be sure you enable the function thats on the bottom "subscribe to this thread",That way when someone answers you get an email, with a link to that thread.

Fred...:)

heheOK now that my "D" works...Im looking to get a G20 with the SR20DE and add a turbo.Id rather not do a JDM swap SR20DET due to the fact that parts can be hard to get.So im looking for a G20 with low miles.I found a few 2000-2002's but they all have automatic transmitions.I want a 5-speed but im not sure that they even make the 00-02 with manual?Does anyone have any sugestions for me or information that I need?Im still tring to decide between getting an 03 WRX or doing the G20+turbo idea?Id rather stick with a Nissan/Infiniti.Plus a boosted G20 will sure turn some heads. And I love leather! :D

they did make the G20, G20t and '02 G20 Sport with MTXs. they are hard to find, bu they do exist. check AutoTrader. i have seen a couple on there.

and i agree, doing a JDM swap would be tough. you never know what you're getting, even if you get the whole front clip.

Id say they are pretty even with the SE-R's.How dependable would a Boosted G20 be?Im not talking about a JDM SR swap.It seams that adding a turbo(and all the goodies that go along with it)to the US SR20DE would be much more dependable.what would you all do?

a)get a 03 WRXb)get a 02 G20 then add the turboc)get a 00 G20 and go for the JDM SR20DET swap

P10 G20's made 140HP, just like the B13 and B14 se-r's. P11's made 145HP, just like the B15 SE's.

I would have to agree with you on that.

An SR20DE-T is nearly as good as an SR20DET. If it were me doing it, I'd boost the DE in there. The higher compression makes for better throttle response, and you still get the beefy crank and rods from the DET (they are the same).

A boosted P11 is usually going to beat an 03 WRX mod for mod, except off the line, where the AWD will dominate. But I like the interior better on the P11 than the WRX.

i'd go with a t'd G20t. you can customize the boost parameters the way you like and really create an original car. and it'll probably cost the same as a JDM swap.

the other alternative would be to swap the new SER 2.5l into the G20t. essentially making it a G25t, which is what Nissan should have done for 2003. then turbo it!
