The FX and 3rd Gen will fit perfectly. Personally I would try to get a set of 20's if you don't live in an area with bad road, if so then go with 18's.
Keep an eye out for some knock-offs in the town you live in or call one of the places that does factory replacement wheels pretty cheap, tons of those out on the web.
Man BadQ45t, I wish I had time to really pick your brain on this. You probably didn't see my earlier post. I got a set of 06' (may have been 07') M35x wheels and tires just sitting. Yes, I needed a minimum 1/4 inch spacer and longer lugs for the front. I purchased billet spacers (Joe's wheel spacers). My mechanic and I have tried everything we can think of, I have a bad shimmy or "wobble" at about 55+ and it stops at about 65+.
We replaced everything in the front end (except the struts, but they seem fine). Balanced and rebalanced the wheels and tires. Had them checked for a bad tire or out of round wheel, rotated them, etc., the wobble remains.
We finally took off the spacer and put the original Anniversary Edition wheels and tires back on, no problems, no wobble, goes down the road strait as an arrow.
I was getting ready to put them up for sale, but to tell you the truth, I like the 8 spoke instead of the 7 spoke FX wheels and the M35x wheels are hyper silver finish, which I like better than the "frost silver" finish of the OEM FX35 18X8 rims. MAN! I wish I could find a way to make them work!
What spacers did you use? Any tips or tricks you can offer? Did you encounter any such problems?
I wish I was one of those people who could say, "No, I slapped on the spacer, put the balanced wheels and tires on and no problems."
